Hi Chucolate,
Just saw your post.
My son attended playgroup in both Victoria and TT. See if you'll find my comments useful.
TT playgroup is conducted in english and PTH within each 1.5 hr session. The teachers there can really initiate the kids to interact during classes and they are pretty good at controlling the discipline in class. My son has been attending their playgroup for a year and he learns a lot from there. Their kowloon tong campuses are quite good and TT Wow is famous for their PN and PG.
For Victoria, their playgroup session lasts for 2 hrs and mainly conducted in cantonese and english, plus a 15min session of PTH each week. Their campus at Harbour Height (on HK side) is the best among all. Their PN and K1-K3 program are good as they promote trilingual and emphasize initiatives of learning. Some students from their K3 classes also got some very good placement in those famous local schools.
Personally, if aiming for PG only, I like TT more as I'd like my son to learn more PTH. Also, TT has a larger outdoor playground, which is good to health since the kids can have activities under sunshine. However, if thinking of the future plan of getting into PN or K1 at Victoria/TT, or even other famous K1 local school, Victoria seems better.
My suggestion to you is that you may try both at the same time if it is afforable. Also, you may have different thoughts after you have a more clear plan of schooling for your kids. |
