舊年in係individual interview, 一間班房有幾張枱, 每張in一個小朋友+家長. 會問你有無preference揀咩語言interview, 無就學校派比你. 老師會問下小朋友眼耳口鼻起邊咁, 都係一d好簡單既野, 會問家長少少有關小朋友既野.

我都想幫仔仔報蘇浙, 但去學校睇過, 好似中門大開咁, d小朋友好似好易走咗出大門口咁. d校車又塞晒喺裡面, 好似好亂咁. 會唔會係o岩o岩開學先係咁呢? 有人可以比吓意見嗎?

我早日去交 Form, 發現幾架大校車都巳停在操場, 校車都會在操場掉頭, 小朋友在後面, 都十分危險!

不過, 都巳經去到, 所以都照交 Form, 號碼巳是 3xx 了, 即係第3百幾個? 如果係, 都好難入...

距地9月1號開始有表, 我當日即填表兼中午1點親自上去交表, 都已經排125同126喇 ~

都係架, 我都有同感, 我行出行入無人問的...但你話校巴上落調頭, 呢樣响我係距度讀幼稚園年代都已經係咁, 但D小朋友其實响有蓋個PLAYGROUND度排隊等上車, 一路都有老師在場的, 我覺得OK嘅~

I have the PN interview last year, teacher will ask the child to pick, orange, apple and banana, also, will give a book and a toy to child and see he/she likes books or toy, my girl picked books and then the teacher will ask child to open the book and point a specifc item as told, e.g. socks, boy etc. Teacher will observe how parents guide the child to answer if they are wrong. Also, will ask parent about the living habits during the day and weekend in order to understand how you take care of your childe. The interview is in Catonese. I can say the question is not easy, but the most important is to show a good parent -child relationship, at least he/she follows what you told him/her.

My little girl finally got a PN am class.

I mailed the PN application form on Sept 2 morning and 號碼是 2xx (over 250 la)了.

mickfan - did your little girl speak at that time? When was last year's interview? I am afraid my baby boy won't be able to speak by then...

I also think sometimes if the child answered incorrectly is not that big of deal, how the parents guild their child from the incorrect answer to the correct one is more important...Urrrh....thought they could let you choose preferred language for interview...

it doesn't matter what's the no., my girl is no.5XX last year when applied but then still accepted.

I considered my girl wasn't performing well in the interview as she didn't answered the teacher all the time, haha (she was just about 1.5 yrs old), and the teacher looked so tired and not attentive as well.  It's all by luck, I believe.

I saw some family also submitted a beautiful profile to the teacher, but we just submitted the required documents on the application form.  Finally she did it.

So take it easy!

Started school for a few days, still many kids cried cried cried....

The school bus, I can't deny that there's a risk, but when they got off the school bus, they are taken to the classroom right away in a queue.  Those in the covered playground are parents instead.  Maybe this is the scene for the first few days to school.  Just one point I observed, even they are the care-taker who bring the students to the classroom, even the students have the name card with the class written on it, they still can bring them to the wrong classroom.....

That's amazing. Besides, I wonder if they know the exact no. of students they have to bring to the school bus....

How was the first week of school for your daughter? Was there an "adjustment period" or was it "cold turkey" for the kids? What did your daughter do in class? Just curious.

The first 3 days allowed one parent to go with the student in class and it's about 1.5 hours / day, so, only few of them cried but most of them might not know what's going on, haha. The teachers tried to do some classroom activities like making a flag or do some paintings, a snack time, a play area time, an english teacher sang a song or tell a short story. Well, except it's so crowded in a classroom with 39 students, 39 parents and 3 teachers in a classroom in these 3 days, I think everything is normal.

BTW, what do you mean by 'cold turkey'?

After the 3 days, no parent in the classroom, haha, there comes the music time, so many (I think almost 80-90%) babies cried at the same time in the class.
