my husband is an old boy in DBS while my father and brother are from La Salle. Now both schools accepted my son, what should I do ????

想問是否新小拔vs喇沙? 喇沙是第一輪定叩門入? 兩者要選其一, 真的不易. 我選喇沙. 因為不用交學費. 而且各方面也同樣很top.

You have the first-hand information (you said your husband is an old boy of DBS and your father is an old boy of LS). Why are you still asking BK parents for second, third or even n-hand information?

As I mentioned, they are old boys who graduated years ago. Information I have is not up-to-date, that's why I seek for advice from current parents. There is nothing suspicious.

LS of course. Both are top, but competition is too keen in DBS and may not be happy studyign there..

No. He is not that lucky though we choose LS in the 1st round.

As a DBS old boy, I believe your husband would very much prefer to have his son studied in his alma mater rather than its most-hated rival.

If you are looking for advice from current parents, I think you may consider opening a thread in the DBSPD and La Salle primary school section instead of this general primary section.

btw, is your kid accepted by DBSPD recently or back in dec 08?

Is your boy accepted by DBSPD from the waiting list recently?? Pls advise coz my boy is also in waiting list.

My boy has registered LS already. I always compare these 2 schools, but still finding that both has its adv. and disadv. over the other.... i knew it should be a hard-time to make a decision between them!!

sorry, I have no clue how many kids are on the waiting list. To solve the queries of other parents, my son got in LS in the first round (20 points) and then now accepted by DBSPD waiting list. This is the reason why I am asking advice from other parents.

Can you share when (ie which date?) you are accepted by DBSPD? Some of the parents here have asked when not yet responded.

In your situation, I would choose DBSPD as you won't have any headache when it comes to secondary school application.
Competition is extremely fierce in La Salle, especially in P5 & P6.
Since only 70% are accepted back to LS secondary school, dropping one mark here or there may drop you down a dozen places & cost you a place in the secondary school!
