係呀，我個仔係中九龍兒童中心評估，個心理學家話只有個RANGE。佢答到幾多題，就係個range。

My son also did the IQ test and got similar result like your son, big difference between the 2 sections. But he also got a total mark whcih average the 2 marks. So he ended up being 'superior' in total. Although the total mark does not really represent his ability.

My daughter & son have IQ test in Canada, the test is Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition.  

I was told that Hong Kong WISC is chinese version which was 20years ago, therefore a lot of gifted child there.  

A full report has 2 parts, 1 st part(4 test):
Vebal Comprehension
(similarities,vocabulary,comprehension)

Perceptual Reasonging
(block design, picture concepts, matrix reasoning)

Working Memory
(digit span, letter-umber sequencing)

Procession speed
(coding, symbol search).

2nd part WRAT 4: Word Reading, Spelling, Aritmetic.

Each section has explaination and Percentile, 5 pages report.

And then all the percentile add up and have the range.

IQ test just give you the percentile. eg. working memory highest IQ 117, my daughter percentile is 97.  Therefore the child won't get the percentile more than 117.  

My kids total score are in high average range.

Regarding your IQ test result, it seem not the same version as mine.  The descriptive ranges, 25-74 (standard), 75-90 (High average), 91-97 (superior), 98 and above (very superior).  If your test total score range is 91 or above are gifted child.

韋氏IQ test 是逐項計分，即是根據normal distribution 計你是在那一個range，而總分不是average 計出來，只有心理學家學過計法，父母可以即場問心理學家，他們會簡單解釋。

因為語文智商與操作智商不能夠有多過15分的差異。
你應該問吓點樣可以提昇小朋友的操作智商(即眼及手)。
政府都有話學習不是求分數啦。分數差異咁大小朋友有苦你唔知咋。
