Dear All,

有傳聞話高主教有很多內地人入讀, 特別星內地高層或有錢人, 所以特別用三文兩語教學, 目的也是"千"就內地小朋友上課語言, 學校更成立英文大使for香港小朋友, 普通話大使for 內地小朋友, 有無家長同大使門溝通過呢?

Know that you have applied St Paul Boy, too. If both RC and SPB accept, which one will you choose/

我上星期六INTERVIEW時有個普通話大使問我和帶我上課室,
聽佢口音係香港人.

I also saw some foreigners attending interviews last Saturday, not just Mainlander applicants.
My impression on St Paul Boys is not as good as that of Raimondi. You can feel the sincerity of the Raimondi school staff throughout the whole interview process, the ambassadors of Eng and PTH were also brilliant and nice, they treated u good from the bottom of their hearts. Even the head teachers welcomed us warmly. My hubby likes this school very much.

But for St Paul Boys, the staff there were quite blunt to parents and not so eager to communicate with us. Esp the two staff sitting in the reception area.

Dear All,

其實我最concern是否多內地小朋友, 並非歧視他們, 只是擔心小朋友之間日後相處之問題, 家庭教育都是重要一環, 經過Interview後, 確實对老師們的印象幾好,年輕得來又成熟有禮. 加潻了不少分數, 但如果話高主教和St. Paul's College 相比, 我又會簡St. Paul's College, 因為校風和成績各方面都比較平均. 你哋又点睇?

應該不是，印象中家長是講廣東話。小兒也說沒有。

高主教和St Paul's Boy都, 我會選St. Paul's Boy, 因為St. Paul's的中學比高主教好!

I got same comments as yours when I attended the interview last year. I strongly felt the sincerity of the school during the whole process. From the pronounciation of the PTH ambassadors, I could tell that they're surely Hongkongers. Through the conversation with the ambassadors, parents could understand the school better, while for St Paul Boys, there's no interaction between parents and school staff/teachers at all. I really doubt how they could judge if a 6 year old kid is suitable to the school or not by just chatting with him for a few minutes? I always believe that if the school has to choose their own students due to limited space, the first one to choose is the parents. They have to understand if the parents' philosophy of bringing up the child is in line with that of the school. Otherwise, it's difficult for both parts to work together to help the kid during his entire school life.
I'm not sure if there's any very key PRC officials' son in the school, but I heard my son telling me that one of his classmates only speak English and doesn't know Chinese. I'm quite puzzled how he could pick up as the Chinese standard is quite high.
