About Kids' gallery
Hi, fellow moms, I am graduate in Fine arts, CUHK and have been working as an arts teacher for over 7 years.
I have heard of Kids' gallery and I have tried approaching the school a few years back when I was still a college student. Ms Joanna HoTung interviewed me and she was happy with my performance and offered me a part-time job on Saturday but the salary was extremely low I turned it down.
Now that I have finished my masters in the UK and Kids' gallery has expanded its business abroad I thought situation might have changed but I am wrong. I was offered a job and was asked to take up some relief work at the moment ( since I am now teaching in mainstream secondary school ) and the salary is indeed insultingly low! I wouldn' t mind if I unleash the information: 9-1pm Saturday at HK centre for 300 HKD. The teacher in charge also told me that I should be happy she is not asking me going to Bel-air. For goodness sake, how can anyone expect a good teaching standard at Kids’ gallery if you are paying at the expense of teachers’ respect!
I have a friend ( a white guy from the states ) being offered a job at Kids' gallery a few months back and turned down the job for the same reason. Insultingly low pay.
I am not trying to moan over this, but dear fellow moms, please consider whether you are joining Kids' gallery after for this.
