I also have applied for its K1 but not yet received any feedback from the kindergarten.  I think it is too many applicants (native english speakers) in Hong Kong area.

I'd contacted their office and was given the reply that we'll get the news before end of April.

Each Kindergarten is happy to receive applications in accordance with the table below:

My child was born between/ Submit application from/ Start Date in K1 class
Jan - Dec 2004/ 1st Oct 2006 - 31st Oct 2006/ September 2007
Jan - Dec 2005/ 1st Oct 2007 - 31st Oct 2007/ September 2008
Jan - Dec 2006/ 1st Oct 2008 - 31st Oct 2008 /September 2009
Jan - Dec 2007/ 1st Oct 2009 - 31st Oct 2009 /September 2010

Applications posted before October will receive no advantage or priority as all applications will be processed ramdomly the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will be allocated a place on the waiting list in accordance with Category and priority.

are you assuming you are put on the waiting list or do you know for sure already?  

I hope the letter comes soon so I can plan ahead.

SFmom,

I have phoned the kindergarten for enquiry of the application of K1 Year 2007.  The staff said that if you apply now, your application would be put on the waiting list.  So I assume that my kid was already on the waiting list as I don't receive any acceptance letter in the first round selection.  As you informed too, they will send letter to notice you the result (accept or reject) before the end of April 2007.
I have also applied other international kindergarten in case there is no place.
