我同仔仔去了多間幼稚園面試,名校和非名校都有,又一村的老師真的很有心,我feel唔到她們只做門面功夫,反而一些所謂名校,就真的令我有點兒失望！

學校透明度很高,無乜邊間學校有視像系統,可觀察小朋友上課的情況,唔知可唔可以download下來留念既呢？

仲有你對孖仔很似樣很可愛呀！

Dear all,

My son was also given a placement for full time K1 in 2007.  Though he got offers from other KG, I prefer YYCS (though we had not made up our mind still).

I have 2 concerns:  the monitors for their computer lessons and the textbooks.

I wonder they can consider changing them to LCD mons.  Also, can we know about what the textbooks they use.

Any comments?

haha.... i don't think you can watch your kid clearly from the screen law as i watched several times in these 3 yrs.... seems no use at all & i prefer to join them in class

don't worry ... i can tell you all the teachers are very nice and not kidding .. They really treat the kids very well & the syllabus is more than ok if you want your kid to try traditional school in future. Believe me, my kid is now studying in YYCS. I prefer u choose the AM or full day session

Thanks a lot! Actually, why I concern for the monitors is that I worry about the bad effect on the kids' eyes. I don't know how long they spend on using the computers each day. BUt, I think that in the long run it will affect their eyes. My hubby's family had the hereditary retina detachment problem. My hubby needs to keep checking them so as to do the prevention. So, I concern this issue lor.

Actually, i don't know how long they use the computer each day but i believe not every single day. And they should only use around 15mins everytime. No worry la

hmm .... i think it depends on the individual kid ... since the syllabus in YYCS isn't that easy but really can't tell if it's ok to primary school. For me, i do have a schedule for my kid ... reading english ah, piano practice ah, writing words ah .... to keep standard and the most important is don't want them to play all the time law .... of coz i have to do with her together la

All mami,

我仔仔(2.5歲)仲未識講嘢，所以佢唔鍾意時會發脾氣(大喊大叫)。唔知又一村學校嘅老師可以應付到一些唔識講嘅小朋友嗎?
另外學校會有男性老師嗎?因我仔仔對男性較接受。
想知師生比例係幾多呢？

我今日打電話問現在仲收生，我打算同仔仔報讀。

I remembered that there were male teachers in the school. So, U may ask the teachers if they could have special arrangement for your son.

re: speech problem

I understand that U may worry about his speech delay problem. Did you visit the 健康院? What did the nurse say? Actually different kids have different development and he may actually understand what U're talking. Only that he did not want to talk. BUt, as some of the bk mothers said, the pre-school age is the period they learn a lot. So, U may consider visiting some professionals, like Heep HOng Society.
