I joined a Korean trip several years ago and met a girl studying in Maryknoll primary.  Although I barely know her, she kept telling me that she'd been to Canada, Japan, Singapore...... Of course she also showed me all her expensive clothings and accessories that her mother bought her.  Maybe this was only a one-off, but that really gave me a very bad impression of the school.

St. Marians that i know are more down-to-earth.  But Maryknoll has better academic results.

I do know at least 20,30 good Maryknoll friends, but not even one tend to show off their wealth (the maryknollers i know range from living in big houses in kowloon tong to living in government estate in lok fu) they didn't care how rich or poor their classmates are, maybe there're 1 or 2 snobbish students in the class, and that's quite the same with other schools.

Just want to bring up this because i feel that some parents are quite narrow-minded and take rumours or isolated case very easily.
