入大學心儀那科，是報 UCAS 前已經決定了的，因為會影響你寫 PS。至於大學收不收你，是報了才知，但那時是不能回頭重寫 PS，改變路線。所以，學生最好想清楚大學想讀那科，就算一脚踏二船，兩船也不能距離太遠。

若要入 top RG uni，你要讀的 subject 拿不到 A，當然會很吃虧。

甘我又想問，香港可以DSE讀理科，大學讀BBA,聽講還prefer 收理科生，這情况在英國是否一樣？

少少意見，對 business studies 有興趣可考慮drop econ轉 further maths，因如想入 top uni 有 double maths會好d, 而在 finance 層面對將來take up 課程也有幫助。至於 drop econ 因大多數人不會 econ 和 business studies 一起讀只會2 揀1

唔可以話 prefer 理科生，uk uni perfer 收的係全面發展的學生，即是不是死讀書，所以如商科裡加1科理科就可顯示學生文理兼備有全面思維發展，例如揀 double maths, econ, chem, 4科便可以

小兒喜愛科技和做生意，所以好自然選了 Maths, Physics, Business Studies. 佢而加都有take Further Maths, 但只係Year 10 學期尾老師叫佢後加，暫時未有信心考得好。

我地唔知通常Econ Business Studies 二選一，見Econ 係 traditional subject 而攞A的百分率又幾高，跟將來選科又有關連，所以便選了Econ 而棄 Further Maths。

但在香港讀商科的，好似通常都將Econ 同 Businesses Studies 放在一起，是嗎？

真係要再諗一諗。

其實都係果句興趣行先，小朋友竟然目標清晰在 business studies就ok, econ 不是易讀，a level econ 係深過dse, 一般人在 econ & business studies 揀一因2科出路不同，econ 出路有 ibank/consultant 係management 層面多d，business studies係在 finance 方面發展多d, 所以2科範疇係不同。

Has your son started Sixth Form already or these are the subjects he intend to take when he starts Sixth Form?

As far as I understand, most of the UK universities mainly look at 3 A Level subjects so having 4 subjects should more than serve the purpose. However I have heard (I am not sure if that is true or not) that Business Studies is considered as a "soft subject" which UK universities will give less weight to when considering admission. You may wish to talk to the school to check this out.
