The kid is so young that he/she can't remember or can't read the letters. Or, his/her small fingers can't grab the pencils very well.
There is early screening of dyslexia for very small kids (end of K2 ?) in the kindergarten level. At the end of K2, the kids should know all the alphabets from a-z, and A-Z.
But worth to spend a while for her to read or write or circle certain of the below letters if he/she knows them, from left to right, then top to bottom:
b p d q
b b b p p d b d d q q
q q p p d b d b b d d
d p d b b q q p p d b
...
...
...
But there is English dyslexia (difficulty of read/write English) and Chinese dyslexia (difficulty of read/write Chinese). So he/she still needs to do some assessment of Chinese characters. |
