九龍塘學校(小學部) 是否好學校?

我個仔剛驗出資優, 朋友說九龍塘小學有很多資優生, 叫我試吓插小三, 請問這間學校的聲譽好嗎?是否好谷D學生成績?

My friend said that this is a very good but traditioanl school. The talented kid may not be perfect for this kind of traditional school. Some schools just pay lip service to gifted education but boast for their gifted education.

If gifted, why don't you try DBSPD?  If Kln Tong Primary, you need to apply for another secondary school again later. (Kln Tong Secondary is definitely not good).

My son is Gifted in many ways (IQ Score from 124 to 138) except sports and music. Do you think DBSPS will take him?

請問有無九龍塘學校的家長可以告訴我, 這間學校的老師是否很惡, 功課多唔多, 學生生活愉快嗎? 是否有80%學生會派到BAND 1 呢?

Why the IQ score is from 124 to 138? My elder son also has IQ score 133 in Wei's IQ test and has Grade 5 piano but DBSPD didn't take him last year and he is going to try P.3 this year.

My son's  IQ score IN Wei's is 131+/- 7, so I write 124 to 138. Actually, there are 3 parts or score, 1st is Verbal IQ, 2nd is Performance IQ and last is Full Scale IQ. My son's Performance IQ is 133 to 140. How about yours?
BTW, have you hand the Assessment Report to DBSPD last year? Also, do you know when they perceive the application this year?

My elder son's IQ score is also 133 +/- 7 but the educational psychologist gave his overall score 133. His performance is stronger in 操作組 with some components scored full mark of 20. I also handed in the assessment report to DBSPD but there seems no direct relation with his IQ and academic performance since he is not the top ten in his form. Anyway, I don't know how DBSPD perceives his application but one thing for sure his written examination last year was not perfect especially in Maths and English. If the written exam accounts for 50%, I think I must focus on this part. For ECAs, my son just has G.5  piano and swimming; no brother/father stuying in DBS and above average school reports.

most famous traditional schools don't want to accept gifted child.  I didn't show the IQ test report to any school bcs I think that will narrow the chance for my son.

They are clever but very difficult to handle.   Most schools do not have enough resources.  My son’s teacher (kindergarten) told me that your son had a lot of ideas and questions.  This is welcome by international school but we don’t have extra resource for this.
