吾會一D都冇，但例如GSIS好遲先開始教，就是這個原因我不會考慮這間（其實都難考入）。

I surfed on Kellett website regarding its admission policy. my draw dropped off from my mouth when I saw the debunture plan

in 11-page admission policy, 7 pages of the material is the explanation of debunate system

in regards to Montesorri school, please forgive my absent-mindness. It should be Bambino in TST and Best concept ( not New concept)

have u heard of those learning school? I see there is a long line up for BC. But I don't have much info on Bambino, only that it's run by a experienced lady who were working at a famous Montesorri organization.

Wouldn't be surprised about Best Concept's long wait list.

Haven't heard of Bamino in TST. Sorry to say, not a lot of good Montessori school on the Kowloon side. Best to check with expat websites / FB for the school. Sorry, no info from my side. Can't help.

Attended Kellet Kowloon Bay open day last year. It seems most studens are with blonde hair, similiar to what I had seen in HK academy open day. I myself feel like a minority among the expat parents too.
So I guess their major 'customer' don't actually have the need to learn Chinese.

My boy attended Bambino for 6 months or so. That lady you mentioned shall be Ellen (if I remember correctly) who taught in Best Concept before she set up Bambino on her own. She taught so well in Best Concept that most parents attended Best Concept for her. You can search the old threads on "Best Concept", there are lots of information about her. From our short experiences with her, I would say she is a very caring, soft spoken lady who is extremely patient with kids. The school was very cozy and clean, and there was a monitor outside the classrooms for parents to watch their kids in the classrooms. The administration was very flexible too, as in they allow makeup classes for absence without having to see medical certificates, etc. We quit simply becoz I do not want my boy to attend am class at Anfield and another PM class at Bambino, too much for that age in my opinion.

Ic. Thx for your info . Yes I think we are referring to the same lady! I still can't tell which school is better as both are having very high reputation . And they are having a long wait list. Indeed my baby is only 8 months old and I am advised to apply now.

I am walking after u . I will apply Anfield for my baby too:)

I am father of a 10-month old girl. I have been surfing EK before my girl was born. As a survivor of the harsh education system I fully understand the pressure imposed on students attending local mainstream schools. What happened in the past year has reinforced my decision to prepare my girl to study abroad after she finishes junior secondary school. Thanks everyone who has shared his / her views on bilingual education and IS application in this thread. I have started applying to PGs right after my girl got her birth certificate eg Vic, Artplus etc and even a kindergarten (KCIS). Frankly speaking I am not sure if attending PGs would help, especially when my targets are CIS and ESF.

I do share your views . No playgroup , no English speaking at home, no English DVD , no TV/ iPad . We believe mother language is the best medium language to communicate with our child. We believe in 家校各一語

What we do is simply let our child play with the nature, play with kids who are english speaking at the playground and put our little one into International pre-nursery so that we are able to get a K1 seat. ( you might need to apply PN earlier as the seats is limited in most case)

For mandarin , though my helper can speak excellent mandarin but we ask her to speak in cantonese at home. Mandarin can do later after my little one can communicate with good cantonese I think . Songs in all languages are welcome btw.

Parent - child reading in Chinese books started before 1 yr-old as part of our parent - child daily activities . English books reading starts by 2 when she shows her interests after she joined the pre-nursery.
