Others---- 從來吾溫書，考試溫兩下，我又吾迫佢。
總之，佢吾係最好成績嗰D。但已有IS 肯收佢, 其實，都有傳統名校肯收佢，不果，我個女的專長係:Social butterfly，如果讀傳統名校，驚佢會無左呢個第時係社會上很有用而又學吾到的特質。

The year 10 in Hangzhou is not just for learning putonghua. The school wants the students to have a year-long experience of a boarding school, and says the students will have "life transforming" experience in that year.

Most westerners and non-Chineses speaking parents (around 50% of student population) like this idea very much. Luckily my child is above year 10 now, so there is no need to go Hangzhou.

Is your daughter applying for 2014 year 7? The written test will be in January earliest. It's a bit more advantageous to apply early, and take the test earlier, because the offer will be given in a week's time after the test for those students above their "benchmark".

Jessie, this is very interesting, I thought you mentioned that your daughter was accepted into an IS a couple years back? So your daughter did not like the IS? How was her experience?

My daughter like the first IS very much. However, the management and academic result is terrible. So, my daughter has changed to the second IS last year. It's much better. ........but I think no normal IS is better than CIS and Harrow (just my opinion)

Do you mean that your daughter's own academic result or the first IS's overall academic result is terrible? And do you mean your daughter has already been accepted by CIS or do you just plan to apply for Sept 2014?

I just got to know a parent whose daughter is studying at Harrow primary section. In her class the ratio of Asian faces to Westerner faces is about 50：50. But he is not sure of the ratio in the secondary section. You should visit the school and see by yourself.

Yes i thought it might be last year when u mentioned that ur daughter visited a new IS and liked it a lot and applied and got in also. I thought that was Harrows... wasn't it? I personally don't know anyone's kid studying there, so interested in learning about ur daughter's experience, even if it's bad experience...
