I made an order before Easter Holidays, and I checked the order status last night and found it's in process, and that's alright.
However today morning I got over 1700 emails from fishpond.com about the order status, and 200 of them are filtered as spams already. The nearly 2000 emails are exactly the same... it's distressing to clean them up. At this very point of typing this message, they're still flooding into my email box... gosh!

I've told them the issue and hope it can be fixed soon.

Hope you're not the next victim.

Thanks for sharing. I also placed an order right before Easter on 28Mar and have received an order update on 02Apr. Nothing strange has happened yet. Hope they can fix the problem for you quickly.
Meanwhile, you may see if a filter can be set in your email server so that all their emails will not flood your inbox but filed into a separate folder directly.

I have ordered from Fishpond.com.au before in 2011, and out of the three books I ordered, I received only one book. It was disappointing, but at least they did the refund really quickly. I do appreciate their prompt response and remedy.

fishpond 比 booklodge 有效率得多, 而且 website 順好多,全部 item 有得 online check status, 一目了然. 上次係 booklodge 買書, 二月落 order, 剛剛先通知我有兩本書無, 要我轉左有齊先一次過送貨....services level 相差太遠, 又唔係平過人........

you just can't compare fishpond to booklodge if the booklodge is this one (http://www.booklodge.com/index.php). booklodge is a small local online bookstore with warehouse / show room in tsuen wan. if i buy books from them, unless big bargain deal, i'd prefer visiting their show room instead.

if u need some other online bookstores to compare against fishpond, try book depository or amazon, or even waterstones.

i'd say fishpond and amazon are like local commercial press with focus on mass markets, while book depository and waterstones having edges in catering to "minority interests" too.

so far, i am satisfied with book depository despite delivery took longer time than expected during festive seasons. however fishpond has not failed me yet. abebooks allowed me to get some used out-of-print books which are difficult to get in mass markets.

I've placed 5 orders to fishpond since June 2012, the experience is so far so good. Thanks for your post and I'll be more alert when placing new orders.

purchased several times....so far good and quick service.
agree that emails recevied on updated progress from times to times......quite annoying sometimes
