I have got another school 2nd in, waiting for PK, SMC...even not offer at hand, will still decline Wxx as I will wait for lucky draw in June.. Wxx, too many confusions and uncertainties + negative comments from past parents...
at least if fail all DSS, I will opted for government run school (easier to get one place in my district), at least get some structures and experiences and they are down to the earth....
I kind of lost my apetite of these "DSS", "selling dog's meat with goat head"!!--even going through the whole procedures of application and interview process.....

fortk, do you have other offers already? I am waiting to hear from SMC. I will decline WKF if get an offer with SMC.
If the following conditions are met, then you cannot take part in the gov't allocation:
1. The school offers your kid a P.1 place
2. You accept the offer (meaning that proper registration procedures are taken, including the signing of a declaration to give up the gov't allocation)
I am sure every admission procedures can be improved (just look at DBX), but WKF's procedures seems fine. The application and interview process seems smooth and I dont see any confusion.
The major complain seems that the date of interview is too early (so you want it to crash with the others during peak time?) and the school does not anounce the result immediately or at the same time.
What's wrong with these?
This is the process the school has been using for quite sometime and we should not just critise it because we want to know the result earlier. They have reassessment for some kids means they are serious about the process, at least they dont require ALL the applicants to go through 3 interviews before sending out the acceptance letter. Is it late? It is among one of the few schools to announce the final result already, for a lot of the school you still havn't gone through the 2nd interview process, let alone the final acceptance. So what is the harm on you? You still have the freedom to choose and plenty of time to consider other offer or to prepare for other options!
You need to realise that your slection process might last till next September!!!
People complain about the application fee? What a joke! I consider the school a good school as I saw some brillant kids during the seminar, teacher and principal seems nice and have good vision. Campus is beutiful as well.
Disclaimer: my son got the offer on the 1st batch, we registered but might consider to give up if I have other better offer of my like.
