The gifted program of CU needs a questionnaire completed by school teacher. If you don't want to disturb/alert the school, you may apply for the World Class Test first (in Math and Problem Solving). If your kid gets a distinction, he can apply for Program for Science Talents in HKUST. With a distinction, school recommendation is not necessary.

It sounds so smart for your boy for having IQ Score at about 150. Then, can you share how smart is your boy/girl. Be the top student at school? Getting special talent in music, art and/or sport.
