InitialD,
very good interpretation, but I still have some queries on how they define category 1 and 2. Very likely the categorization is done by computer programs by picking up info from certain fiel ...
From my understanding from ESF official website:
1. Cat. 1 applicants always have the priority for interview. So, Cat 1 applicant always comes first, no matter which kinder they come from (even not study in a kindergarten). They will fill up the vacancies of interview (there will be a very little chance of not passing the interview);
2. The rest to be filling up with Cat 2 applicants, within the priority of siblings, ESF kinder applicants;
3. Non-ESF kinder applicants are always at the end of the queue. From last year's experience, only a few of them got an interview offer in the first round; so don't be disappointed if you will be one of the group;
4. Cat 1/2 categorization :
Category One
Children who speak English as a first or alternative language but donot speak Cantonese and/or read and write Chinese characters.
It seems irrelavant to which kinder you filled in the form.
Of course, what will be the consequences of false declaration? Take your own risks. |
