dear kk,
one mummy from sec told me (her daughter never studied in primary before) that st clare primary is only english primary school for p4-6, it's chinese for p.1-3, can you please clarify me? thanks a lot.

123, yes, you can say so because start from P4, the General Studies subject is taught in both English and Chinese. That means, so topics are taught in Chinese and some topics in English.

thank you for yr kind reply. the mummy i know leh, did not apply st clare yet, since her elder daughter is in sec, she wants to keep until last step, she said the 'reservation charge' maybe more than $500 wor.

Hi 12201230,
By my side, i will choose HKUGA coz it's near our home and i like they are teaching the kids use creative thinking more than use the traditional. The point i just concern my daughter can digest & absord HKUGA's teaching method during the class or not although i like. For St.Clare, as my friends told me that all teachers are kind & the school's atmosphere is good for kids learning, not aggressive.

As i know both St. Clare & HKUGA are the private schools so not under on HK Govt's lucky draw list. Besides, St. Clare is accepting we still can join the 2nd round even though i have been registered but HKUGA is not allowed.

thanks heaps, you are so nice and helpful...really appreciate. i'll follow yr way to pay deposit then. shall we chat more to discuss the way leh? i found st clare's campus is a bit old, do you know the interior? big or not? will you worry about whether yr daughter can 'leave' you for one whole day or not? in my heart, i appreciate someone to take care of her and let me breathe some more, however, i am sure she won't like it, she is lazy and also begged me not to find a school which must eat 'rice' means proper meal, she is very picky on food...headache.

以小學校舍來說，st clare's 其實相當不錯，環境清優，比HKUGA空氣好和靜，而且設備充足。不要忘記，到了中學，兩間都是在南區的。
如果兩間揀，我會揀st clare's ，始終歷史悠久些，信心大些。而HKUGA考IB而非A-level，始終是令我郤步的因素。

i'm also happy to share with u here. Indeed, St Clare school looks very old, its same as St. Paul Catholi, mostly all the famous catholic girl schools are all like that. My daughter said she likes HKUGA is more than St. Clare, sure understood why she has this mind set. Coz HKUGA is a new school, the enviroment & facilities are new & clean for her first sight. So, i am also worry she likes St. Clare or not, btw, i have 2 interviews will be coming, (true light & St. Scared Heart), if didn't get reply fm HKUGA, i will keep try on another private schools. good luck for both of us.

st clare has long history lah, thanks for telling me, i used to be a kln friend, i just knew this school recently, perhaps as other mummy said, this school is good but low profile, not aggressive. i found the staff, teachers, students...are all so pure and gentle, like in a never-polluted world; i saw the students came down to the office for all sort of purposes, but all behave politely and 'shy shy' type, i like that way for a little girl. for true light leh, my friend beg and beg the principal of sacred heart to take back her daughter (could not go in sec) and she said for secondary leh, SH is better than TL, it is just for your reference, since secondary is still quite far away for our daughters.
