想入聖公會幼稚園...

小兒於2002年11月27日出生.想於2004/05學年入讀聖公會幼稚園.

請問:
1. 分校與正校的分別
2. 能否兩校都報?
3. 有沒有校車去將軍澳區?
4. 要不要提早去排隊取申請表?
5. 取申請表要不要帶同小朋友?

聖公會幼稚園 application date is on 30oct2004 (Sat)
from 9:00am - 4:00pm

1. 分校與正校的分別 (SHK Central has am & pm class)
    branch in Mt. Butler -am class only                       
2. 能否兩校都報? - NO, if they find out you apply both
    will cancel your application
3. 有沒有校車去將軍澳區? - No idea
4. 要不要提早去排隊取申請表? - Yes
5. 取申請表要不要帶同小朋友? - No need
    you need to bring 1 child photo, birth cert.(copy &
    origional) 1 return envelope
6. Application: HK$ 30.00

Thanks for both of your advise. Actually, I live in the boundary of Nam Tin and Teung Kwan O. So, the distance of Kln Tong and Central is about the same. I work in Quarry Bay. And I spend 20min to go to office!



Fanda, how early should I arrive? 7am? 8am? Please advise. You said I should go early that means the application forms are limited, right? I know that there's 2 classes in Central. That means 2-am + 2-pm classes? or 1-am and 1-pm? Please advise. If there's 2-am and 2-pm classes in central. That means Central one is easier to apply than the one in Wanchai, right?

As far as I know, there were 700+ applications for "Central" while the "branch" one were around 100+ applications last year. Plus this is a trial exercise of adding PM class from the new principle who joined SKH two yrs ago. All told, both schools, to my mind, are equally good as they are using the same rundown and theory to educate the kids. Of course, location is also a deep consideration for every parent too.

From my experience last year, I did applied 2 schools as avised by their staffs at SKH.  What they said was that if I want to apply Central school then fill out the form in Central.  And if I want to apply Mount Butler branch, I have to fill out the form & handed it in to Mount Butler, too.  This was what they told me to do so last year. So, I've got 2 interviews at 2 school.

Finally, my son got admitted at Mount Butler as I refused to study p.m. class in Central.

Do you have any comments on this school?  I think they have started teaching phonics ... is your son starting speak simple english, e.g. apple ... etc?

The school environment is good cos it is surrounded by the big trees and situated in private road.  The school has been teaching phonics now & they use Letterland English book with CD (play CD @ home) which published in UK.

My son studied in Int'l kindergarten in N1 last year. So he understands English more than Chinese.  The school teachers are nice and caring.

Hi Turtle,

Sorry for the late reply as I am so busy these days.

As remember, last year I get there around 9:30am
and there were around 30 people queue up, it almost take around 45 mins to finish the whole application.  I think the application form is unlimited in both Mt. Bulter & Central, don't worry.

Central SHK start from this year have 2am class
and 2pm K1 class and Mt Bulter has 2am class only.
I can't measure the change as many people apply every year but I think Central's applications are more than the Mt. Bulter.

My son now is studing in Central SHK pm class, so far so good, teachers are very nice, you can call them and they're willing to answer all your questions.
They're using Letterland for english class and my son
love it very much, he told me he is happy in school.
