Re: please recomend the kindergarden K1 in Ma On Shan
Hi Laiwai,
My son is studying in Wellborn International Play School. He is 2.5 years old and studying in the Internation class. The school is ok but the school fee and the uniform is expensive. I understand that because school fee is for international class with 1 Native English teacher per class, so it is expensive.
When I sent my son to school every morning, I see all teachers are quite concerning about the children. Teachers will stand in front of the school and welcome to the kids and take care those kids sent by school bus. The principal also stand in the corridor to say good morning to every coming kid. The atmosphere is quite warm.
The school has 2 campus, 1 is for International class and another is for local class. I believe it is good school of training discipline. Before my son studied in this school (he was around 2 years old), he is very stubborn, cannot sit properly in the playgroup, and refuse to line up. But now, he is good. I believe the teacher give him a good training, but certain it needs to take few months to improve it.
However, I will let my son to study in KV from Sep, because it is famous than Welborn and I want my son to study primary school in Kowloon Tong area later so I did not register K1 in Welborn. But I still recommed it.
Another point is they have many many 親子活動 and parties. Almost at least 2 parties a month. Sometime, I really don't know why they need to held that parties such as St. Partick day, winter party ....etc.
I'm a working mother and don't want to spare time for the above activities. KV is the one have less 親子活動 and parties. I like it.
I think their International class runs like St. Catherine in Kowloon Tong. Certainly St. Catherine is the most famous one.
p.s. I don't know too much about the local class. May be you can ask them to visit before register. I even don't know their academic level, since my son is studying in pre-nursey, they consentate on teaching them the ability of independent.
That all I know, I hope it can help you.
