Re: Renaissance College Interview

I need to reply them b4 16Mar. I talked to many friends if I should let my daughter to RC. Most of them encouraged me not to. Well, their kids are in local school. I think that there are two stream, local and international. Both think that their kids get good ed.
After reading what "father" said here, I agree his points. What I think is, if I let my kid to study in RC, there will be no return. She can hardly turn back to the local system. That will be hard for her. Moreover, I still worry about the Chinese lesson.
STill have two days to think.
Why no return? P1 in RC is equal to K3 of local kinder, but the kid will likely learn more than in K3. Some people will let the kids study P1 in IS and then still apply P1 of famous local schools. Depends what you want, and which kinder your kid is attending. If the kid is studying very well in P1 of RC, then can continue, if not, can still apply P1 of local primary.
In fact, IB program is becoming more popular, even DBS will have IB starting 2009. So RC will be much more competitive in a few years time. |
