我都覺得唔需要講到咁樣，只係為興趣學琴，當然想選擇心目中認為較好的老師，不過佢既反應咁上等…麻麻…

連聽電話果個以為自己上等，其實同老師倒米！我唔會同佢講噤多，唔比機會佢賣廣告。
我唔信其他地方冇好老師。

O! I see.  My son learn in Tsuen Wan Lau XX within 3 years, the reception are very good, if I am busy need to apply leave that week , she will help me change the time nicely. And she's very nice to each children and have good telephone manner.
Their teacher are also very professional , I see after
lesson, they will told the parents what the kid learn
today and what's wrong .
Don't angry , I will ask Tsuen Wan reception for this case and ask her talk to Lau XX office to complaint
the North Point Piano centre Lady.

唔好勞氣, 好在你仲未報名比埋錢!
我姨甥女都係劉xx學過琴, 在很多情況下都當失堂, 冇補堂. 例 : 教開個老師嗰日唔得閒, 要學生轉另一日上, 而學生就唔啱時間上唔到, 噤就當係自己失堂!   同時冇得告假, 就算係病假,一律當失堂!
所以, 我妹好快就唔左比個女學落去!

I have heard the concert of the Lau's school and do not find the teacher performers or the student performers outstanding.  A few students may be quite good but the general standard is less than satisfactory.  

I heard there are a Academy for Piano at the Park Commercial Centre (Tin Hau) which is quite good, and a Music Room in the  Central too.  The Katherine Lu studio in the Arts Centre is a quality school too.

dear ku,
my friend's son is also learning there in north point centre. he has completed diploma (age 12), he has talent himself, no pressure and no hardship. his mother told me about the exact case like what you mentioned, no subsitute class etc. however, since he is so advance in his age, he needs someone 'expect' to teach him wor. he also won many many prizes while he learnt piano there. but, his mother said it was really expensive to invest in his piano life and also feels disappointed about their school management and staff attitude...

曉彈琴，　唔一定曉教琴的，　名過其實！

小女（三個）所跟老師冇名氣，但有品，有責任感！呢ｄ先最重要，　學琴初級唔使名師，冇呢個需要，肯苦練先係最重要的，　學琴唔系要羅老師名氣來晒的　！

Your friend's son may apply to the Hk Academy for Performing Arts. They charge about $10,000 for 4 months, providing weekly personal tuition by top piano tutors, performance and theory class. Excellent exposure and training for talented kids.

非常同意!好多時琴老師無名氣, 但其實最重要老師有心!

聽回來的故事:
話說我的鋼琴老師，多年前跟老師學藝時，老師是劉X昆的朋友，一次劉到訪，看到這個女孩是可造之材(因她是音樂世家頗有天份，父親是小提琴家，香港管弦樂團資深成員很多是他學生)，主動收為入室弟子親自教授，當然學費亦不菲，每一次是到劉的家中單對單學習，學了年多便沒有去，因為她認為劉頗商業，不像藝術家，又經常打老婆，對他的為人極之反感。

我記得劉生講過: 佢唔鐘意彈琴。

咁...商業，不像藝術家，都合理o既。

以我所知，劉生o既學費未到天價，但都係數一數二 of the topmost artists / pianists in Hong Kong. 照道理都要比返 topmost quality 先至收得落...

係唔係咁勁，我就唔知啦。不過佢冇o係任何一間學院 /大學o既 faculty member list 上面，但又收得貴過其他大師，或者人地真係好好好有料到呢...
