Re: St. Mary's 叩門
江戶川 寫道:
I sincerely invite those succeddful experiences that can enter St. Mary's to share with me! Do they accept active, talkative and questionable girl? Is SMCS not so traditional as before and the Sister more gentle than before? They still stress on English as the main medium of teaching language? How many native Eng teacher? I read from the magazine that the sch has around 55% band 1 students, is it high? Thanks for any reply!
I have 2 sisters graduated from St. Mary (from primary to secondary), one is very active, one is very quiet. The very active one got very poor results, and always scolded by teachers. The very quiet one got excellent results. Now they both have their own career and family, yet the very active sister is a lot more successful than the quiet sister. You should know well if you are an old girl.
Of course my sisters' experience is a single case, but as I understand, St. Mary is more a traditional school and may not be suitable for very active kids. They focus very much on academics and less on all-rounded activities. You can search for more info. of other parents comments previously.
They have changed to use Chinese Maths instead of English now. 55% band 1 is not particularly too high, it is more or less same as other band 1 schools. It is no doubt a good school, yet not sure if it is suitable for your kid. You need to assess. |
