There is never a "just" when choosing a school anyway. I would also not choose a school "just" because of the western environment.
The thing is, why should ESF be classified as a school (or schools) that parents/students need to give up on chinese?
For extended reflection, why should schools that care about chinese (in this case KCIS), give up of training kids to be outspoken.
For further reflection, are there ANY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS at all in Hong Kong that embrace both qualities. That is, they have decent chinese standard (and good English of course) and have outspoken kids?
