The interview involved 5 to 6 child/parent pairs and 2 teachers, basically they just asked the parents to play with their child and the teachers would observe and also go round to chat with each pair, just the usual social conversation, no probing questions. Towards the end they would ask the children to join in a group sing and dance and that was it, the whole thing lasted about half an hour.
If the child could chat with the teacher fluently in English that would be excellent, but most 2 year olds aren't very talkative or responsive so it is important that the parent should talk more and show that the child could understand English and react accordingly.
The Principal was not involved other than giving a presentation, and it seems that this part is sometimes skipped depending on circumstances. In any case, there was not much in the presentation which could not be learned from the school's website.
