我知係UCAS定出來，但佢點定？ ...

對照表不單止香港，全世界大部份資歷都有，可能原因是UCAS是一個系統處理不同學歷所有大學申請，香港則分J及NJ，如果合併，一定要做。

I don't have time to describe the comparison process, Please find the following Expert Reports about HKDSE and IB for your reference.
But bear in mind, IBDP is an integrated curriculum and not subject base like GCE AL and HKDSE, compare single subject is only valid for IB Certificate.

我有點不明白, 香港的大學收IB學生不是競爭性的嗎? 多IB學生申請便會拉高IB 分數, 少IB學生申請便會拉低IB分數, 應該不是大學定下收IB 多少分的,

JUPAS 和NON JUPAS 是分開收生的, 根本不需要和DSE 有什麼exchange rate, 有說錯請指正

妳說完感性情懷，讓我講清楚Judy在那裡被誤導。
當年HKEAA興奮過頭，引述錯了對照表，報章及家長又沒有查證，所以誤把馮京作馬涼。

在UCAS Tariff Table IB 有兩部份，我將兩表詳列如下。第一部份是假如學生攞唔到 lBDP，只有部份科目合格，只有lB Cert, 就以表一作參考（留意備註，HKEAA就是忽略這點或者特意扭曲，滿足香港家長的期望。）。如果順利取得 lBDP 就以表二為參考。在 EK 我們指 lB 是指 lBDP 而非 lB Certificate.

我較早前講 Integrated curriculum vs Subject base 就是這個原因。
International Baccalaureate (IB) Certificate

我梗明啦，個個都知 ibdp 唔係獨立單科，而大學對 ibdp 和 ib certificate 當然會唔同啦
而好多大學都好似你話，講明個別某科要幾多分
我只係想話，用 table one 做參考，和用 table two 係冇分別
反而 table one 更清楚添啦

例如LSE Economics, Standard admission offer 是 IBDP, min 38, HL 7,6,6, Maths HL, 7. Condition is IBDP First - Total Grades - Grades of Electives....... And special requirement. The tariff is 567.

For HKDSE, 3 electives, min 5*, 5,5, and Maths core and extended module must be both 5*, 3 cores grade 4 min, so the tariff is 610.

哦，原來講緊唔同的東西。

我係講，話 ibdp 計 tariff ，用 table one 或 table two，得出黎的 tariff point 都一樣。

你個 case 就係講大學的要求，要求 dse 的 tariff point，和 ibdp 的 tariff point 唔同。或者可以話，原來唔可以單睇 tariff point，還要看是甚麼課程。似乎是 dse 的 tariff 唔夠 ibdp 的 tariff 值錢。

咁，學生見 ucas 的 table，話 dse 5** 高分過 ibdp 7 就唔好開心得咁早，要睇下大學要求甚麼。大學真係唔係懵的。

都話 ucas 個 ibdp tariff 有問題啦

LSE BSc in Economics
Standard A Level offer: A*AA (380 points)
Standard IB offer 38 with 766 at HL (350 points)
可能當GCE A*=IB 7分, A=IB 6分重有意義

IB我唔熟，GCE考6科最主要看得到乜嘢成績，但我識d朋友考GCE A level 6科個個都是連中文A level才夠6科，這兩年我識3個女仔考6科GCE A Level, 3個香港最熱門的科目都收她們，還比埋獎學金。

lB 6科之中，HL，SL各有三科，3科HL接近AL，所以沒有太大分別。當然多些AL，而且成績優異，自然有優勢，好果成績普通，就無謂啦！再者，lB最多可以預先申請考4科HL，但學校及lBO不鼓勵。

除了比較科目數目，還要看兩個課程的設計及特色。lB傾向整合課程，語文主導，文中有理，理中有文，核心科目CAS，TOK及EE 才是精髄，亦是本港教授們較喜歡 lB 的原因。AL始終以科目為本，深度不低，但缺乏整合，較難比較。
