5-6千呅只可以讀到幼稚園部、上到小學基本要7~8千呅、中學接近1萬。這個是平民國際學校價。一般市民如我只可以選擇"國際化" 的私校直資。

要行IB, 又所謂國際化, 出名有 CKY (一年6萬至7萬學費)
無咁出名又係"擬似IB"係將軍澳有間直資叫真道 (一年學費好似3萬左右)

如果樓主要嘅係教育局講嘅"國際學校", 呢兩間又唔係好算係........

如果樓主只係要IB校, 又可以加埋男拔, 聖保羅男女, 赤柱聖士提反等 (雖然可能要校方選擇"適合IB"嘅校內生)

聖保羅男女, 赤柱聖士提反應未必啱樓主條件, 因為要成7萬學費

真正國際學校, 每年學費真係未見過平過7萬 (以小學計)

Both CKY and Logos are IB school, offering diploma programme for the last 2 years.  Their primary and secondary schools are school based and not IB.

Logos offers both DSE and IB curricular at the final two years. The maximum IB places are 60 out of 180.

其實國際學在無政府支持下，係會加價，就算現在比你找到5-6k 月費，幾年後會加到6-7k 或以上

Think 小學$75,000一年。小班教學行IB 暫時好抵讀。但幾年後唔知加幾多。
間間直資私小國際學校都年年加價！

Hi Annie, Can I have more views that why you think international school is not good?  We are planing to send our boy to international school because of our family background.  But this morning my colleague came to my office and asked my to re-consider as he said International school has no Chinese, which is more difficult to learn as compared with English.  So I am puzzled.  Can you share more experience? Hi fanfabb,

Thank you for asking me.  Actually I'm one of super fans in EK to support the teaching method in international schools.  However, a lot of parents see the pros and cons in the wrong way that is the problem and it hinders their children to be bright and open-minded in global village.

Please note that international schools have more Chinese than some parents like it.  They are superb in English learning with the facts are:

IS Chinese can learn good English, and very usual to be much better than British.

IS Chinese can learn good Chinese  if having excellent support from parents , teachers, and tutors.

Your colleague is very kind to tell his concern.  However, there are  a lot of 2nd hand hearsay that scorns IS.  Most of them are far beyond the true. We don't need to be panic.  Just taking a brain filter to translate all overwhelmed information to seek out  golden rules to guide your kids in the right path.

Annie,

I have said it many time recently in EK, matching parents' expectation, student's ability/character and schools' philosophy is extremely important.

If parents want to know precisely what is the academic progress of their children on a monthly basis and will not do anything that do not immediately result in academic excellence, then IS is a mismatch.

IMO, what characterizes IS is the philosophy that children should be given time and opportunities to develop their talents in different areas and are not in a hurry to achieve academic excellence. Students are encouraged to discover their unique self.  

IS may be good for most children but they are not good for a lot of parents.
