Hi Everyone
Time flies. It is more than half a year since my last post to this subject.
Now my kid is studying S2 and she has a very happy school life. She enjoys her studies and makes a lot of friends at school.
I am thankful that my kid has the opportunity to study at APS. Our principal, Miss Kwan, is a capable and devoted leader. At APS, everything has been planned for the kids for the best of their future. Of course, to achieve this, the kids (and of course the parents) should be prepared to put efforts to make it successful.
I know having the kids to take extended lessons after school may be exhausted. However, it really helps the kid to make the transition to Secondary school easier (this is particularly important for studying at EMI).
As far as I remember, my kid also had a very busy schedule when she studied P5 due to the extended lessons and school team training after the school. Except Tue, every day she arrived home at around 6pm but she still managed to go to bed at 10:30pm. Time management is very important and we being the parents need to train the kid to be a good time manager. Time management is a useful skill throughout his/her life.
There are always rooms for improvement and I am sure the school is willing to adjust and improve. During a recent conversation with my kid, after a year of study in an EMI school, she makes a few suggestions to further enhance APS English curriculum. Frankly, I feel glad that she not only has the ability to think but also has the ability to make suggestion. I will discuss with her again after her exam and see how we put forward her suggestion to Miss Kwan.
"No pain, No gain" ...... Just believe your kids can overcome all the challenges. Stay positive. Keep going. They can do it.
With all best wishes
