I dont really get it. If the children who have been accepted by SFA are so gifted, why they choose ... My kid is now studying in SFA, primary one. Maybe let me express my views. (不喜勿插)
First of all, the Maths test posted here is NOT SFA primary 1 Maths test. Don't believe in the rumours.
Second, not all kids in SFA are gifted. But they should be quite strong in academic, otherwise they would not be admitted.
Third, kids who are strong in academic may not be smart in other aspects. Different schools have different selection criteria. Some schools (e.g. DGS, DBS) may prefer kids who are smart in many aspects, whilst SFA may focus more on academic potential. So different schools will pick different types of "smart kids".
Fourth, parents choose SFA due to various reasons. Some people like their gifted education. Some people like their academic level. And of course, I guess some only treat it as a stepping stone because I understand that top kids from SFA are quite welcomed by many famous schools.
Maybe any other parents wish to share their views too?
