Shirleylee_0514,
Yes, my kid is studying in CPSKG.
I am very satisfied with the teaching style there. As there is Cantonese, English and putonghua everyday, the kids have a solid language foundation.
How one rates the standard is based on one's expectation. If parents want their kids to learn a lot of words, able to write many of them, do advanced maths, CPSKG is not the right place.
I chose this kindergarten as my main concern is to develop my kid's love and desire to learn, the interest to explore, express and share knowledge. I am happy with my choice.
Whether a CPSKG graduate's language standard can match requirement of p1 will depend on the primary school's standard and how parents prepare them. Cases are so varied that it is difficult to comment on. For maths, they learn in both Chinese and English. You will see both languages on the maths worksheet.
My kid only join ECA for interest, no academic classess taken so far. But I do have dictation and maths exercises with him at home, as they don't have dictation or tests at school. My purpose is to understand his standard, strengths and weaknesses so as to further guide him in learning, and also as a preparation in p1 school interviews.
Hope this helps.
