I've seen a lot of negative comments under this thread. My BB has been attending the Fanny EE's playgroups in the past 3 months, and we have just confirmed to continue our second series of the course. Please allow me to give a few positive comments towards the playgroups:
1. I had been to a few trial classes offered by other playgroups, I found that Fanny EE was the best in terms of her care to the babies. Maybe I was lucky that I was assigned to be taught by a better teacher or even Fanny herself.
2. I like the way that they're having specific age group for babies that other playgroups do not have. e.g. the oldest and youngest babies in my class do not differ by more than 3 months. They group all BBs with similar learning ability so that BBs can be happier and less frustrated.
3. Fanny / teacher also teach us how to teach / observe our BBs. This makes me feel the playgroup is not only for my BB, but also for us parents.
4. I live on HK side, so I don't really rely on her "connection" to Kowloon Tong kindergartens. However, I do take her advices and tips towards applications and interviews, which i find very useful. (I'm not talking about the religious part, I know she mentioned it during her seminar, but that was the only time she mentioned. I myself have no specific religion and do not intend to "use" any religion to get into a good school.)
5. I do not feel the devil side of Fanny EE as some of you have mentioned. In contrast, I find her very caring to any particular baby. I felt she was quite commercial from the seminar, well I guess this is the way she has to promote her business, which nobody can say she's wrong. The most important thing is, I don't feel her commercial now. I can feel her genuine care to babies and trying to do her best in teaching them.
I declare that I'm not someone working for Fanny EE, and I'm not a big fan as I don't agree with everything she talks about, we adults can make good analysis to what she said and decide what really is good to ourselves and our BBs. I'm not a qualified teacher either. I'm only a normal mother who want my BB to be a good person and well educated.
I hope anyone who give negative comment could be more respectful. I'm not saying anyone's comment is right or wrong, 'cas comments are very subjective.
Lastly I would apologize in advance if I had insulted anyone which I have no intention to. I only hope we all can find good playgroups / education most suitable for our BBs. Add oil, we are all good mothers! |
