Please help! St Cat/Think/Stafford/Zenith [複製鏈接]

Hi, everyone!

  Please help!! Will you choose St Cat (pm-Eng-Cantonese) or Think (am-Mei Foo-Eng-Cantonese), or Stafford (am) or Zenith (English-Put)?  I am a busy working mom.. My son is a reserved, quick-learner.. I really have a difficult time to make this decision, and I could not sleep for many days..  Please help!!

St. Cat.-pm Eng-Cantonese session
Pros: a famous school
Cons: no afternoon nap and not much time to learn other things--Some people say that Eng-Cantonese session is not as good as the Eng-Put. session..I have no idea Any St. Cat. Eng-Cantonese K1 parents can give some comments?

Think -am  Eng-Cantonese session--
Pros: am session, closer to home-smaller class ratio
Cons: small school facility, Less time to learn English and Put in classes; Some people say that the academic level is relatively easy.  Can any Think K1 mama can give any comments?

Stafford-am
Pros:  am session, more English time in classes than St. Cat. and Think..;  the academic level is good.. this may help to have an easier transition from KG to primary school.. People say that the school have good P1 allocation

Cons: Some people say that the school are very pushy, and the students are very competitive.. One mistake in an exam can make the student to get No. 10 ranking in a class.. If it were true, it seemed to have much pressure on students and parents.. Any Stafford parents give comments?   Are Native English teachers and Chinese teachers at Stafford are caring and kind?  Will they help the development of the kids? Any Stafford parents give some comments about that?  Will they help Will they charge many fees as well?

Zenith (Eng/Put)
Pros:  More English time and Put. time, a very good N1 home form teacher, teachers are helpful (based on my experience), new school facility, my baby adapted the school already

Cons:  most likely, the home form teacher won't be his K1 teacher.. school hires many new teachers.. I worried whether babies can adapt new teachers so well if they change their teachers often..  Zenith is a relatively new school.. I don't know much about the P1 allocation..  I don't know whether my baby can have a smooth transition from KG to Primary school too..

Please forgive my ignorance, and kindly give me useful comments..

I agree with busy_penny! And personally, I think you should not consider Zenith at all because the comments generally are not very positive.

For THINK K1, if you're choosing PTH and English stream, all lesson would be taught in PTH and ENglish. People said that it has less exposure to Eng in particuluar because they are talking about N1 level only.

Thanks for your recommendations, everyone!  Do you know anyone who studies in Eng-Cantonese Session at St Cat.? How is St. Cat's academic level (Eng-Can. Session)?  Can the teachers help the students to become more outgoing and confident?  Are the students happy at school?

Any parents from Stafford KG can kindly give me some comments? Are Stafford teachers (Net & Local) caring and kind?  Are your children happy to study in this school?  How do you feel about this Stafford KG (academic level and overall)?

in my opinion, Think isn't that easy. The homework would be more and more difficult every year.

And, if you choose Mandarin and English group, the language skill of the children should be good enough. I would not think children have  too little time for English during lessons.

There are quite a lot of outing for Think. It is really good!

Think (Eng-Put) should be very good.. But my son got accepted into Eng-Can. session only..  

Any parents whose children are attending English-Cantonese session at Think can give me some comments?  

Any parents whose children are attending K1 or K2 in Stafford can give me some comments?

My son studied in Think for N1 (Eng-Can) and then SC for K1 and K2 (Eng-PTH now), and I know some kids fm Thinks fm K2-K3 too(normally Full Day),  relatively I think both are good school.

Think hv more activities than SC, like sport day etc.   But  if K1 up, parents in Think tends to select full day  (half day international stream with full English + half day in class with Chinese) so their Chinese can be catch up. Higher school fee will be one consideration and whether the kid can stand for full day school in age of 3-4 will be another consideration.    If in only International stream, may not ok for traditional primary school later due to lacking Chinese.   

Relatively speaking, in SC the standard of Chinese / Math will be up to normal standard of most primary school in HK, while English standard is relatively good as SC start phonic since K1.   Kids are communicating natually in English if need when I hv some school visit there.  

And I find the PTH standard for SC is better than Think 's PTH class.  I can see my son's classmate all can use good (and native) PTH to communicate with teacher or each other, but Think's K3 seems still using simple sentense even some attend PHT class.   

For other 2 school, sorry don't hv idea.
