Personally I think Net 12 is easier than Net 11.
In Net 11, both St Stephen's Girls' & Sacred Heart are equally popular - putting either of them as 2nd choice would be a waste of time, so if you don't get your 1st choice, it is a little dangerous.
In Net 12, there are 3 good girls' schools (Marymount, St Francis & St Paul's Catholic Primary) as well as 3 good co-educational schools (Hennessy Road Government Schools -am & pm, and St James').
If you are prepared to forfeit Marymount (as most will put it down as 1st choice) & put St Francis or St Paul's Catholic Primary as 1st choice, you have a very decent chance of getting in.
If you really want to try for Marymount, you can put Hennessy Road pm school or St James as 2nd choice, and still have a decent chance for a good backup school. |
