Hi, just want to share a little bit of my experience for SC vs LH. My elder kid graduated from St. Cat and my younger one currently doing PN at LH (LV campus).
1) In terms of brand name:
SC is better than LH due to it's long established history. SC have a very systematic system to train up kids as they have a few hundred students every year that need to cater, can't do it one by one. However, I would see LH is a rising star.
2) syllabus
their course design are basically targeting for different types of schools. SC target for traditional primary school with brand names. LH kids normally goes to the PLK schools series. It really depends on what type of primary school you want your kids to go to, or simply what type of school would better fits your kids' character
For teaching materials, I am amazed with what LH did. They make nice chinese/phonics cards, nice books with all the character inside the book wear LH school uniform (believe it or not, kids love seeing this, my kid keep saying that it's my school whenever I read the book with him)
3) Kids caring
I will definitely vote for LH for this point. My kids studied at tutortime, Keenmind, LH, SC, kiddicraft before (including playgroups, PN and kinder) Out of the five I have experienced, only keenmind is comparable to LH. LH teachers are so caring that they will call you all the time to tell you how your kids did. You will know how good/bad your child did no matter you are a working mom or full time mom. I have receive no proactive call at all from SC but I at least have a call from the LH teacher once a week.
In conclusion, I would say 家家有求. Hope this little sharing helps. |
