Hi bcw,

SHCK has a long waiting list so it is better to refer to the letter received rather than calling the school clerks. It is very difficult for them sometimes to check the list as the parents called and it is vulnerable for manual errors.

For those in waiting list, I do believe they will still have chances but need to be patience. Once there are openings they will contact the next in line soon to notify them. I think what can be done is to write letters to the principal to express your reasons and passion to be admitted, and that's probably the only way.

Good luck to you and remember, it will take time and really need to be patience.

有d失望架, 我自己係舊生, 又係天主教, 阿女當日表現不錯, 只係唔識答鎖匙有咩用, 不過都係唔收, 我個女係0711, 所以唯有下年再來過....

其實點知佢向唔向Waiting List??

By the way, do you have any nanny bus contact for True Light in West Kowloon Side/HK Station for PM class?

Hi Elsat,

You are welcome! So would you still pursue further on SHCK? Seems they have received a lot of letters from those in wait-listed already so better act quick if you plan to submit it. Of course I dunno if handing in earlier is better!

Anyway, you are a good mother and your daughter is a very lucky girl!

If you have made up your mind for TL, then I suggest you to check the forums of TL and check with the other existing parents for better information. All my friends having children in TL are all living in HK island.

My girl is offered a place in am class (she performed very good). I believe it's whether the "characteristics" of the girl fits the school culture or not (or maybe parent as well, I don't know). Answering with right "answer" is not the most important. You won't expect too much knowlege for a girl at 2.x years of age. My girl also did very good & answered all the questions correctly at SMM, the teacher kept saying she is very good but she is still on waiting list.

Instead, my girl did not answer correctly & I also felt her performance was not good in St Clare. She also offered a place. Seems, St Clare & SH like the similar "type" of girl, not how correct are their answers.

Probably I'll pick SH. One particular reason is the location, St Clare seems to a bit too far (I live in the Eastern district). Besides, there are really so many good comments from many parents that make me feel confident.

For kindergarten, love, care & patient are very important. Either school should be good. SH seems to be more famous with longer history.

勉強無幸福

After discussion with my family, we have decided not to send any letter to SHCK to ask for a place. We will study in GH first and apply for 自行分配學位 by K3. By then, I may select between GH & SHCS. We think that this is a more "natural" way since 勉強無幸福. May be GH is more suitable for my gal.

For your case, I would also feel it is unnecessary to write the letters as you girls have so many offers already!

Do keep in mind that SHCK do have a few places open in K2 from time to time so that's also something you can consider too.

Actually, some kids may hold more than 1 place and will be released out afterwards. Also, SPK interview is coming soon. Well prepare for it!
