For the results, I m not sure, but the students itself apparently looks "better"
I saw SSC students now and they look different from our years, glasses, gd boy/girl hair style, etc... For our years, girls 1. shorten skirts 2. holding a comb everywhere 3. use branded school bags (top ones, such as bold, Jean paul, etc) 4. in love with boys..... Boys 1. "gel" hairl 2. white jeans instead of standard school pants 3. branded stuff 4. in love with girls.......
There were 5 classes for our yr, the first class (I m in the first class!) are the good students! For the second class, half are the gd students.... for the rest 3.5 classes.........
But I think it's not that bad, cos' they never take drugs, just a little bit went smoking, met girls/boys after school at the ice skating tai koo places.... so u know, overall, the academic results are not so good.
In our class, a boy got a seat in HKU medicine, one got a seat in CU architecture and also girls got seats in HKU and CU engineerings and Art subjects.
But some ppl just got talent in sports and music, they had opportunities to show them in this school.
I think it's good experience though, those were just teenagers' period, u can see more before you face the reality of the society. So if you aim for execellent academic results, this school is not your cup of tea, but if you want your kid to be all rounded, it's a good environment.
For the primary school, it's standard of eng is good (it was only a chinese primary school in our years) now. My friend owned a tutorial centre and she has SSCPS students there (my friend also was an old girl from SSC from p.3 to F.7), she said that the English was very difficult but the Chinese is just so-so. But the teachers seem to be friendly cos' she told me that they won't mark the homework as harshly as the traditional schools. I think it's like an international school.

but it seems 2006 is not too far from now?! just the exam results 3 years ago!
is it having a big jump in recent 2-3 years? ... |
