其實依家全港間間學校d成績都跌左, dgs, maryknoll 樣, 都係跌左架 !
我覺得搵學校最緊要係校風同同學仔屋企既教育, 因為小朋友受朋輩影響絕對大過一切 !

What do you mean? Why the results of these schools dropped? What results are you comparing with? Any source of information?

Govt schools are quite different from private or DSS schools, under the current system, Maryknoll cannot choose all their own students, but Good Hope, DGS can choose 100%, they are getting most of the top students, so logically they should maintain a high standard all the time.

Actually, Daisy's mum is correct to a certain extent. You can check the following website as a reference, and it is not a new thing of we have heard.

You can find some "not the most famous schools" get higher HKCEE scores than some famous schools. Of course, when we choose schools, we also consider its discipline, English standard and extra-curricular activities. There are usually some very bright and all-rounded students in these famous schools. However, it is amazing for some "not that well-known" local schools have so many good students got very high scores and entered universities. The students I met in the Engineering School at the universities where from the secondary schools of Tuen Mun, their average HKCEE scores were 26 or above. Not many actually from traditional famous schools got that. However, their oral English might not be that fluent compared with the traditional famous schools.

Understand your meaning, but why is it so? Is it because the overall quality of teachers are lower these years? Or because of 普及教育 using the lucky draw system diversifies the top students to different regional schools? This may be a good thing as 名校 is no longer really so great and it is not worth to 爭崩頭. It is really very tiring to do this!
