My son learn Clarinet for 3 years. In the begining I tried to search Clarinet teacher for my son same like you. But no news at that time, therefore I sent him to the music center 1:1 for 30/45 min. It costs around HKD 135.00 each lesson.
If you feel Yamaha is expensive, you can search some "made in China" charient.... you can take a look (http://www.onemusiccentre.com/mu ... ments_woodwinds.php), as I know some primary school & secondary school are using them...
I bought Yamaha clarinet from Tom Lee too. The quality is not bad.

yes I agree, china clarinet's quality is bad. Although the price is cheap around $1500-2000 but the repair fee is very high around $300-600.
