My daugther has been interviewed last Saturday and I participated briefing section yesterday.

After listen alot from Mrs Fung, she has emphasis alot as both of you mentioned previously. I am quite sure that the course of Camgridge and Stanford must require extra training at outside to strength the ability of childs. It must depends on how much you can pay and then what will be finally achieve to...it
mean absolutely...Money...Money and Money... I don't think just 3 hrs course everyday even computer software learning which can achieved as Mrs Fung mentioned in talk.

Anyways, she stated correctly and I agreed that while the childs apply the good primary school. It need settled by these kinds of formal certificate from famous and well known colleges.

Frankly, York was arranged over 3000 application forms to public, I think it may only 300 -400 childs accepted by school finally. It must depends on the parents willing. I don't think every applicant can sucess to come this school.

Totally agreed with you! Referring the Gov't website, they only get hundreds student every year from thousands, so I don't think every applicant can get a seat.

After visit, noted that the campus of York is much better than some schools at Kowloon Tong, all are money! I think that the beneificiary are the students here!

我重會考SV, LL, SPC, 民生, 浸大, 宣道和創價, 我老公聽完個TALK, 佢好同意校長說FOUNDATION的思維, 因我地會係考直資和私校, 到時競爭會好大, 比考幼稚園更緊張和重要, 所以要係這3年做準備, 我睇咗有些讀緊的家長講, YORK的確幫到小朋友做好FOUNDATION, 而家D人都係話佢太COMMERCIAL唔好, 而唔係話佢教學唔好, 所以我諗佢都係我考慮之一. 其它我都會考, 之後先決定, 你幾号考SV & 浸大呀 !

其實我覺得 YORK 有Camgridge 及 Stanford course 係一件好事, 因為老師可能會清楚同學仔係邊方面係較差而著重去幫小朋友改善, 而且所有同學仔都係識, 佢地一定會好活躍一齊去學習, 其實我覺得 YORK 有 2 個目的, 1) 真係希望提高小朋友考入出名小學既機會大D
2) 用公開考試既成績去提高學校既知名道
可能佢地都係想做到 WIN WIN 啫

講真好多父母如果想個小朋友考到間好 D 既小學, 咪一樣係出面既補習社狂幫佢地小朋友報好多course 讀, 而一大班唔識既小朋友一齊讀, 大家既程度如果有好大差距, 出面既老師亦唔會特別去改善佢地不足既地方, 日子耐佐, 小朋友亦無乜心機學啦...加上 YORK 個價錢其實同出面都係差唔多, 其實對我這種無乜時間同小朋友操練英文既人尼講係一個唔錯既選擇, 至少個學校有甘既 course offer 真係可以減輕到我幫我小朋友部份既操練, 另外至於 york 商唔商業, 則見人見智啦, 佢地學費其實比 SC 平, 果D course 唔讀咪唔駛俾囉, 跟本同學費係兩樣野,唔可能講埋一齊
其他幼稚園唔攪這些 course 唔等於佢地唔商業, 佢地咪一樣每張相同 DVD 都收錢..我朋友同我講 SC 一張全班照要收$120, 甘你話佢商唔商業呢?? 道理其實一樣, 因為做得私校一定係商業架喇
雖然學校已經收佐我個仔, 我亦俾佐留位費, 但我仲未諗清楚我想幫阿仔鋪條乜野路, 但如果係想佢考出名小學, YORK 會係我其中一個選擇, 所以係選學校時真係諗清楚想鋪條乜野路俾小朋友先好決定讀定唔讀

Yes! I am totally agreed with you! I am not receive the acceptance letter yet. I am also quite headaches about the balance of "Route" and "Money". I want my child study there, at least she will get good language foundation level, even she study in normal traditional school, it will better performance than others.

其實我已聽了stafford 的講座, 所以無去york 聽, 但我打電話比york , 佢地話ok, 只要你interview時話比老師知,
stafford 已收咗仔仔, 但學費要件3,6xx (12mths) 都好貴, 但點解係同一個機構都相差咁遠, 所以我會去york 試一試, 不過最想更係sc and KV la...

My daughter finished the interview at 4:30p.m. The content is the same:

just finished the interview at 2:00 today, want to share the interview content :

1. what's your name?
--> Who accompany with you?
2. put up the wooden block and put these in the basket
3. a picture with apple, areoplane, card
--> need to say the wordings of the pictures
(which one can eat if hungry), however, use what to eat (my son point to the mouth,teacher ask what is it & where is your ears?)
--> to state the eyes, nose, month and ears
4. a picture with big & small cats (which one is big and which one is small)
5. a family picturer with dad, mum, girl & boy (point out who are them, my son don't say girl, he say this is baby, & the boy is brother)
6. a picture with car, bed with pillows & chair (what are them?) and matching
7. give the kid a crayon
--> select one of the crayons and say what the color is
& paper to draw something he like and ask him to draw a circle.
Finally, the teacher gave the present to my daughter to select (candy or sticker) and need to say "Thank you"
some questions i forgot, but i think quite difficult & same as SN.

My daughter could answer all the questions but we did not attend the seminar in Oct. I think the seminar is a criteria in the submission.

i also apply many kgs for my kid. sc on nov. 6 morning, keen mind on nov. 7 morning, very busy on nov. 14 (4 kgs), hkpuk on 8:45am, kv on 9:00am, 12:30 st. johannes & 2:45 creative primary school kindergarten, so i think i will give up hkpuk (浸幼).
i also agree that the 3yrs foundation are very important, so i am very worry that which one (kg)should be suitable for my kid.

純粹答咀.... 我個仔係超細仔, 佢就係正正係york 讀咗二期, 我前後用咗都只係用咗$4000- $5000到, 佢考咗14個盾(如果佢再考, 我好有信心佢一定滿盾)~ 我可以好肯定同大家講, 我無同我個仔係出面讀, 全部都係york 讀, 讀第一個stage 時, 大家仲玩玩下, 唔知要考d 咩, 到第二個stage 時, 就知要串字, 先知原來唔係想像中咁易, 亦都好擔心.

但我好想話比大家知, york 一定有佢辦法, 我根本同個仔溫得串字嚟,已經無時間同佢搵listening 同speaking. 但我個仔佢呢二part 考滿分. york 用拼音方法教串字, 小朋友會記到, 但實在太多字, 我要同佢溫番, 我諗無一個家長認為學校教完個二, 三百個生字後, 家長完全唔駛同佢溫就一, 二個月後都仲記得啩~

同埋, 我識好多家長, 都真係純綷係學校學, 都攞到13-15個盾~ 嚟梗考movers, 好老實講, 我唔擔心, 亦都相信佢一定得~

york 係k1 已經把單字英文拼音教得很好, 小朋友好深入腦海, 亦可以試聽英文單字發音而估到個英文字開頭. k2 會溫番k1拼音, 同教二個位英文拼音同串字. k3英文書已經係拼音書, 繼續學二個位拼音, 同埋技巧, 如何謂CVC PATTERN. 所以我覺得呀仔個英文技巧底打得好好,

錢.....呢樣野....... 我想話並唔係大家想像中咁恐怖, 都係一D合理收費....不過我唔講咁多LU

最後, 喜唔喜歡學校自己再考慮下LA, 因為每間學校都有佢自己捧場客, 希望各位MAMI 最後揾到自己心儀既幼稚園. ^^

嘩 ! 你個仔好叻呀 ! 其它同學成績係唔係都咁叻, 還是只有你個仔咁叻呀 ! 一班同學裡面有幾多人考到14個盾呀 ! 小朋友會唔會好辛苦和呢 ?

聽朋友講佢個仔係 SC 讀, 佢話 SC 既雙普班, 每日都只係得 30 分鍾英文時間, 其他全部都係用普通話上堂, 所以講真 30 分鍾點夠將小朋友既英文操得好, 所以有 D 小朋友英文好都係好靠父母係背後好努力甘幫小朋友既操練但我估係 YORK 英文堂既時間會長D 卦,話晒都係主打喎

其實我覺得校長都講得啱既,你想個小朋友點係好睇父母既選擇, 如果父母係有時間自已教甘當然讀邊間都無問題, 但如果自己又無乜時間, 又要係出面搵補習, 點解唔交俾本身讀緊既學校? 其實交俾學校都有好處架, 因為學校係公開試成績方面亦唔衰得, 所以點都有一套方法教既

有時見到D人係網上係甘講某某學校唔好, 又點又點樣差等等.....其實都只係聽人講而又無自己親身睇到同聽到, 點都係唔真實, 所以係選邊間學校都好, 最好自己親自了解過甘先可以選到一間最合適既俾自己小朋友讀, 所以另一個角度睇, YORK 既校長都係唔想家長選擇錯, 其實佢都係用心既
