Excuse me for being "simple and naive". According to the second article (the longer one), questions on the following items of the said article,
For item 2, "imbalance/ difference in maturity and actual age", would it help if we let the gifted child play with other kids ( to satisfy his emotional and social needs) but parents play the role of soul mate/ therapists, ie explore the deeper meanings of life with the child and satisfy the child's more mature intellectual mind?
For item 3, "awareness of difference with other children", will it help if the gifted child goes to a more advance school, so other kids there are likely of a higher calibre and v likely gifted themselves, so there is "less difference"?
For item 5, "high expectations of parents on a gifted child", maybe we should not test the child for giftedness anyway, similar to one of the control groups in the article, and without the baggage of giftedness, they'll cope better?
Would the above "simple solutions" help? Anyone has first hand experience pls?
