在九龍塘區，st cat & kv是兩大陣營，各有各好，但沒有邊個比邊個好，只好考慮哪一個適合。

km & 樂基是另一比較，兩間都以st cat為bench mark，推陳出新，或pushy、或更多variety，建議先參觀學校了解多些。

hi, jerrymama,
my girl went to cannan pre-nursery(waterloo-full day) for 1 year. although she goes to a different K1 now, i found that cannan was excellent. my girl liked it very very much. i am very satisfied with its english standard and in many other areas as well.
it's true that many N1 students left after a year and went to other school for K1. However, many of my girl's cannan classmates were accepted by KV &/or SC. and i knew a boy is studing in CCKG, after finishing K1 at cannan.

so, if you'd like to try other KGs for your kid, go and have the interview. congrats if you were accepted; otherwise, cannan is always a good place to stay...:D

sorry, i am just an average HK mom and i believe/hope my girl can have good discipline and can be well-trained in KV, although she still misses cannan very much.

創價幼稚園本身沒有宗教我是知道的,
只是見有人寫辦學團體被指是異端???
很驚訝﹗所以問清楚﹗

I found that many moms agreed Cannan is a very good KG, however, most of them finally arranged their kids move to another KGs after 1 year pre-nursery. That's a point I need to serious consider.

我打算報kv架,
想問2大陣營收生都唔少, 大約600人左右?
其實成功機會係咪唔算好細呢?

if you think positively, maybe kids from cannan have been educated/trained well in order to be accepted by other "better" schools. In general, people/parents always look/go for "better" prospect.

another point is, there are not too many pre-nursery school in kln tong(maybe HK pre-schol, KeenMind); on the contrary, there are alot more K1 schools, which means that parents have many more alternatives.

i am not the biggest fan of cannan. i am just saying some fair comments about this school....hope you find it useful!!:)

我的兒女讀過km, srl, sts (已結業), yc, hkp, cn. 我全部都好滿意. 個人感情最深最懷念亦是最愛的是sts.

km程度深, 老師也很有愛心. yc是貴得來有價值. hkp只唸了暑期班, 認識不深, 印象是頗高檔的. cn 是最物有所值的學校, 可用學劵而程度優質. srl 是全校最有家的感覺, 最聽意見的學校, 當然, 女學生在這校的前程也較清楚. 另外, 我有全套vic的教學用品, 很優質的活動教學學校!

唸n班未必一定要太講究. 唸k班就要想清楚. 很多學校都教得很好. 但實際點, 為何有些所謂"名幼稚園"呢? 因為有些幼稚園的辦學者是某些名小學的高層朋友, 舊同事, 甚至贊助人. 所以有些學校跟某些小學有說不出"關係". 其他的關係如附屬幼園(如HY, PC, SRL), 關係是擺到明. 有些則是教會關係...

純綷以教學而不理會"關係", 很多都是好學校. 這也解釋為何cn的n班小朋友在上k班會走. 原因不在學校不好, 而是別校有些特別"關係", cn 是沒有的.

係呀，呢兩間每年都收照過600個學生，所以是幼稚園界的大戶! 其他機構要夾埋所有分校先至有咁多學生。

成功與否，睇彩數，我自己相信同齡小朋友的能力其實相差不遠，不過EQ(情緒)就有較大分別，另外就係睇屋企背景。(家長職業/學歷etc)

An article in St Cat's latest newsletter reported that a professor conducted a test on kindergarten students to see how they perform on both Cantonese and English. A group of randomly-sampled K2 and K3 students from St Cat performed very well. It was quite impressive.
Indeed, apart from the education offered by the school, I believe it also has a lot to do with the training provided by parents. Regarding admissions, the school is obviously looking for students with parents who can give such support.

If your kid is born later than sept, I don't think KV will accept him.

I remember very clearly when my son (born in late dec) attended the interview in KV. The teacher/ interviewer once got his application form and noticed his birth date, she immediately said (in Cantonese), "your son is born in dec bor!". And finally he did not get an offer from KV.

My son at last was accepted by SC and KM, and we chose KM finally. So far I find KM quite satisfactory, though the HW workload is a bit demanding for my son.

hi, prosperityyan,
sorry, i don't know any curriculum differences among all cannan schools, and i'm not familiar with the tsuen wan campus. my girl only studied at waterloo campus(full day) and the tuition was about $4800, from 8am-6pm(class schedule was from 9am-4:45pm). i just thought it was a very reasonable rate for a working mom, like me, who needed full day day-care service and cannan can provide a safe and learning envirnement for my kid.

Why not? Give a try and see as some moms said SC does accept small kids. My son is 11月仔, and I do believe he knows a lot of things already but the problem is whether he will answer the teacher that day though...

我女是11月b, 上年in KV時仲係歲幾. 但現在已是kv k1生, 仲係am正選! 她下個月3歲, 但在kv學習無問題, 很適應! 所以就算細b都應該無問題!
