if you attend the 60-hour directress workshop, ICW does have a detailed presentation of how to use all the Montessori tools, including on which side of the child the parent/teacher should sit, the proper order of demonstration, positions, etc. The 8-hour parent class is just intended to give you an idea of montessori.
I haven't attended LM parent classes, but I have taken my daughter to their class for 1.5 months. At that time, their montessori teacher is Catherine. She is very serious and not very friendly in her manners to young children. My daughter and many of my friends' children did not like her, so we dropped out.
My daughter has also been to ICW toddler PG and is now attending best concept 5 days a week. My feeling is that it is difficult to see any results if the child attends montessori for once or twice a week unless the parents can persist at home. imagine learning a language. if you kid only takes an english class once or twice a week, what kind of progress will he make? you won't expect much, would you? I have made montessori my children's main education because I believe in it. it is not a pg, but her schooling. |
