Dear All

I met Doris's mom this morning & asked about Doris. She is fine & is working at home. The baby is still very little & staying at the hospital.

Davin took the 1st lesson of Enopi math. Seems that he enjoyed the lesson. He also has to do homework (in average about 6 pages per day). I browse through the workbooks & thinks it's quite okay. Will check on his progress & update you ladies.

Hi,moms,
I'll be going on s short trip to Vietnam tomorrow. First time I leave Preston and my hubby behind. My friend and I palnned to go to Isarel in the 1st place but no tour so we changed to Vietnam. However Preston has a bit running nose since yesterday, just took him to the doctor, hope hs's fine. Talk to you guys later.

Dear all,

Haven't been online for long.

Thank you very much for all your concern.  I am on maternity leave now.  However, as the school term just started, I have to work at home and prepare the notes and quizzes for the substitute teacher.

The baby is still in NICU now.  The doctor said her condition is not bad (except with some common problems for premature babies).  My hubby and I will go to see her everyday.  Brian will go with us as well (although he's not allowed to enter the ward).

Will let you all know more about the baby later.  :)

Welcome back. Can't believe you have to work during leave. Nonetheless, I do think that most teachers are very responsible & they enjoy teaching so much. Are you one of them ? Hope that your baby would be fine & be released & get home earlier.

I make lantern of vehicle almost every year as Davin likes vehicles so much. This year we make Lightning McQueenie (Cars) & he also loves it very much. He brought it to school today.

I'm back. I saw Preston this am(I came back at midnight last night), he was a bit angry with me and would not talk to me in the beginning. But then I promise to take him to Disneyland and he's OK.

Doris,
Glad to hear from you again. How's the baby? I have friends working at QEH and if you need help, just let me know. Or if you need any medical advice, I'll try my best to help. Take some good rest, don't work too hard.

Did you enjoy the trip ? Did you miss Preston a lot ? To me, going for a holiday trip without my kid is tough to me. You know our kids are not baby anymore. They have feelings & they may want to go with you.

Actually the trip was great. Vietnam is a lot better than I expected. I missed Preston quite a bit in the 1st 2 days. I called every night but I did not talk to him coz I was afraid I would miss him more and he would ask me to come back immediately. It's my first time leaving them behind and I know my husband stayed in HK and my mom could come. It's pretty relaxing coz you could really enjoy yourself.

Dear All

I saw Miss Cheng hung around with the kids this morning during exercise time. They still like her a lot. They hug her & talk a lot. So sweet.

I thought Miss Lai & Mr. Shawn might not take many pictures for the kids. Suddenly, I saw a lot of pictures uploaded.

Hi all,

I have also fast scanned the photos posted on the school web site. Seems that Miss Lai & Mr. Shawn do not take many photos for kids. I feel a bit disappointed as I want to get back some for my daughter in the last birthday party.

Have you fixed the schedule of ECA for Preston ? Does he enjoy full-day class ? Do you think he learns a lot more from school joining full-day class ?

It's really enjoyable without the kids. But Preston seems a bit angry with me still. He said he loves me a little bit only.

Not exactly. Have settled some courses but still have some to apply in Oct and Nov. Really a headache about arranging courses for him. Preston enjoys full-day class but will have 1/2 day on every Wed coz he will start the EQ course again today. He really likes the EQ course and looking forward to the course.
BTW, how's Davin doing with E.nopi math? I want to stop Kumon and change to something else. I'm choosing between E.nopi or 珠心算? Please tell me more about E.nopi. Thanks.

Davin had 2 lessons of Enopi math only. They still have to do homework, in avg about 6 pages per day. There are repitive exercises to reinforce learning but there are also more interesting learning exercise in the book. Davin doesn't quite like repititive exercise but since the number of pages to be finished per day is acceptable, I can have him complete everyday. In his class, there are only about 4 kids which I think the teacher can manage to help each of them quite well. The teacher is a Korean & is quite nice. She discuss with me after every lesson.

珠心算 is also not bad but I heard that it would be better to start at 5. I think it helps in quick calculation but I may think the skill taught is a bit narrow. You may share with some others whose kid is learning 珠心算.

Dear all,

It's good to see some pictures of the kids being uploaded to the LH website.  However, it's a bit disappointing that Miss Lai and Mr. Shawn didn't take picture for every kid just as last year.  Anyway, Brian likes seeing those photos.

BTW, the baby's condition is satisfactory.  She is putting on weight progressively.  However, she still needs time to meet the 'target'.

Brian went to the Kumon centre in Fisherman's Wharf since September.  His progress is much faster compared with that in the Whampoa centre.  He spent 4 weeks to work on 5A01-5A50 in Whampoa centre (repeated homework every week, line drawing), but he can finish 5A61-5A190 in three weeks in the new centre.

Glad to know that your baby girl is doing better now. A lot of premature babies can grow up healthy and strong.
The progress is much faster than Whampoa centre. It's good that Brian is improving well. Preston finds it boring now to do it and I'll try something else.

Brian chose a Winnie the Pooh jetplane lantern to bring to school yesterday. He was so excited when I told him about the special function today. I am sure all kids will enjoy.

The weather seems not stable today. I hope it will be fine this evening so Brian can go out to play with the lanterns.

Preston was excited about the function today and requested to bring his airplane(mickey mouse clubhouse-his favorite TV show) to school today. I'm sure the kids will enjoy it.
The weather is unstable and we planned to go to Disneyland but probably need to cancel again. Last time we planned to go was cancelled coz of the typhoon and this time again. Need to think of somewhere to go indoor tomorrow.
