TKO's CreatLearning Education (創憶學坊)

Anyone heard about it? I took their free seminars @ their Gordan centre and someone told me they have new centre opened now in TKO.

I have a kid who is 4 yrs old and would like to take their CreatReading (創閱學) course and they had a demo of a 3 yrs old kid knows how to read a paragraph from the chinese newspaper! Also, their children managed to read and speak 1000 chinese characters at the end of the first year with them. This would greatly improve their motive to learn and read books.

I am going to their TKO's centre on this coming Thurs for their free seminar and see if I would join them

Any parent heard of it?

I have seen their descriptions and I think they make a lot of senses to me!

What do you all think?

在過去的香港教育體系中，傳統的中小學皆偏向知識性的教學模式，不斷强調吸收大量學術性的資料，透過一向死記硬背的方式，訓練學生偏重左腦，令思維創意的潛能大大被忽視。只有一部份比較質優或勤奮的學生才可以順應這種學習環境，取得較佳成績。對於其它大有較好的經濟能力的父母，他們只能依靠投放更多資源，希望透過多方的協助 (例如補習、入讀名校或國際學校、或出國留學等)，制造較好的環境，改善學生的成績。可是對於弱少的一群，在有限的資源下，他們能夠選擇的層面就比較少

教育對每一個人都是重要，尤其是學生，因為他們就是明日社會的楝樑。每一個學生都必須有權學習不同的知識及吸收不同的資訊，而不能因為某種制度原因或家庭情况，阻外學生踏上成功之路。故此，在這個大前題下，創憶學坊選擇兩個重點發展教育工作：
a)
基於學校已向學生提供大量知識及資訊，創憶學坊着重協助學生解決記憶方面的困難。透過推擴創憶學，讓學生認識及掌握記憶技巧，提升學習能力及自信心。這套創憶學是針對協助已入學的學生及年青人。
b)
對於幼兒把握學前的黃金時期，創憶學坊提供一套創閱學的幼兒課程。在 3 至 6歲的小朋友未正式面對學校及讀書的壓力前，訓練幼兒提升閱讀能力及教授基礎記憶技巧，增强幼兒入學後的適應、學習和吸收能力。越早能夠閱讀，就越早有能力吸收知識。再加上對記憶技巧有一些概念和實習後，幼兒日後的吸收及學習潛能便可不斷提升。
從以上兩大方向，創憶學坊一方面協助已入學的學生，向他們提供記憶技巧課程，令他們可持績改善學習果效。而在另一方面，創憶學坊亦為到學前幼兒鋪路，從少提高幼兒讀書興趣及信心，加快幼兒入讀小學後的學習步伐。

Finally I went ther and wow, it was GREAT!! To be superly honest with you, I really had not seen a centre who can do this kind of stuffs. So professional!

I went to their CreatMemory seminar last night and it was over 90 people there and it was fun! They have good shows with their ordinary children like 8 yrs old demonstrate to use Memory skills to remember over 80 scrambled numbers and alphabets...also I learned some memory skills there...and people are lining up to register into their courses...

I will go to their CreatReading seminar tonight and decide if I would let my 4 yrs old to join. Will let you guys know.

我的仔已報名讀CreatReading! 我有300discount. 如果一下子報3個月再有300 discount.

當我在報名時見到有家長帶小朋友interview CreatMemory 課程 (因他們年紀太小,中心話可能唔收...). 但見他們入去20分种, 出來已經可以表演給他們自己家長怎樣用2种記憶法記２Ｏ樣東西! 而他的媽媽好似眼有淚光....他們最後也收了他...:)

Happy ending!

Therefore, I think the method works, but depends on people if they would practice more.

Not sure I replied to you....check your messages...

我好似賣廣告但我想有好東西多点人知....

CreatMemory (目標係中小學生)是 $600/month (1 lesson per week)
CreatReadng (目標係幼兒3-6歲) 是 $1800/month(3 lessons per week)

It is to teach the kids a way to remember with "memory hooks" 記憶線索, rather than 死記硬背. Also for the CreatReading 創閱学, it is to let the 3-6 yrs old one who can read 1000 chinese characters (primary school standard) at their age just to improve their reading interests and stimulate their 右腦 development at the same time

You can call them to attend their 演示会、和知道他們如何教小孩子!

My 4 yrs old son's memory definitely get improved as he can remember more words than he could before. Before, it took me a lot of time to teach him but now it only takes 1.5 hours! Now after he took 3 lessons, he learned 24 chinese characters and read a short paragraph. To be very honest, there is no way we can get him to go up to this now, they somehow can. If they can't do it, they won't probably start this 幼兒創閱学 in HK, as this is so new to get into 幼兒 as most of the memory program nowadays in HK are all for adults or secondary schools.

Just my humble opinion.
