hi, pumbaa,

my son will study in JC 1B in coming Sept. which class will your kid study? any other BK parents with kids studying in coming JC 1? please come and join the discussion.

in what way u think the school to be traditional?
will u join to serve as volunteer mum in lunch time?

it's really tired to wake up early in the morning.

i and my son are still adjusting the new time schedule. thank you Lord, so far so good.

could u share with me how is your son's time schedule after school? does he need to attend any ECA?

besides, will u order newspaper from school and if your son could have time to read? if yes, which one do u recommend?

Hi,

For my son, I cut most of the ECA after summer holiday but just keep piano & swimming.

Curious to know anyone (P1) plans to join the swimming gala? BTW, I'm surprised by the requirement of the school swimming team - 58 sec. to complete 50 meter for a P1 student!!!

I subscribe SCMP and HK Economics Daily for my son.

Let's keep sharing...

May I know why cut most ECA? due to homework-load?
My son doesn't have a chance to play instuments up to
now from school term start (except weekend).
I still couldn't be able to work out his schedule for regular
practise.

Anyone put the boy in orchestra (string/woodwind) or
other school teams? My son is interested in string
orchestra but he's not up to requirement yet. I also worry that it may be too busy for him. Anyone can share?

My boy is in P1 and had enrolled the swim gala. I think
the school will group the P1 swimmers together so that
the ability will not be too far away from each other.
Anyway, it's just for fun.

For school swim team, 58 sec is a hard goal, perhaps it is the benchmark among schools. The swim coach of my
son said <100 sec is OK for this age.

Hi,

I give up the ECA simply because my son must sleep before 9:00pm to make sure he has enough rest. I believe the homework is still managable but I just want to reserve more time to talk with him and let him share his school life with me. After settle down, I may either join the ECA organised by school or outsiders.

I think most of the P1 students cannot join the orchestra EXCEPT those has been learning string instruments for quit a long time and is qualified.

My son also joins the qualified test of swimming gala. See you.

Out of my expectation, there are more P1 students than P2 students joining the swimming gala. During the qulaified test, most of the P1 students can finish 50M for about 100 seconds.

This week is the first Chinese dictation. Cheer up

Called to school this morning and confirmed that the Swimming Gala on 25/Sep (tomorrow) will be rescheduled. Parents will receive the notice today.

The nanny bus company said it will be changed to coming Friday 28/Sep/07.

Just received notice that Jeff was selected to join the Go School team as he won 3 times (with P.3 & P.4 student) in the selection event. I am also considering whether I should let him to be the school team member as Chinese dictation will be on Wednesday. I am afraid the homework will be more and more and there will be less time to finish on Tuesday.

Jeff also want to join but a bit afraid he may be too tired on Tuesday. Anyway, we will try first.

That's for P1 level. For P5, the scenario is totally different. The level of the papers, especially the English comprehension one, is so high that most of the boys couldn't even finish it. The majority got less than 70 marks. Its level is at least a few jumps from the P4 level. May be the school wants to train them to be tough!

It happened in P1's Eng compre too. Boys have to finish 6 pieces of comprehension plus 2 parts questions from their reader book within 35 mins. My boy could just finish but didn't have time to check again, and of course his mark is only so so
