hi all, Happy New Year! How was the holiday?
it's been very quiet lately.. hope you are not busy in preparing for the assessment & revision.. haha

So glad kids are back to school, and everything is back to normal! Regarding the assessment next week, we went through the materials from school once in a while during the holidays, especially Letterland. Do you know if there is a song for every single word? or just for some of them? The rest of the materials are pretty easy and she just repeat it again and again until I got bored! :wink: :wink:

Did you go to HarbourCity to see the Christmas Tree sponsored by Stafford kids? Erin took a picture of it. There are not many schools participating, but of course, York & sister kindergartens have a number of trees, so is Yew Chung & "Sunshine Island" kindergarten.

First of all, wish you all a Happy New Year in 2007!!!

I'm very busy taking care of my 2 kids currently. As you know, you need to keep feeding the newborn. Nicole was sick during the holidays & she was very moody. :cry:

Hopefully, it's much better now after she gets back to school.

We still haven't start the revision yet. But I think Nicole can recognise all the letterlanders & the chinese words she learnt. I think I will just have a brief revision with her this weekend. I don't want to give her too much pressure at this stage.

For the letterlander songs, we actually got that CD when Nicole was about 2.5 years old. She knows all those songs & the sounds of the letters before school. Do you all have that CD? If you want one, let me know & I can dup for you.

Scott and I were sick this two week, i had fever over 3 days, and I felt very tired.

Jychan: Congratulation! What is the name for the little baby? I think it must be very busy for you. Take care yourself.

I also don't want to give Scott any pressure, so just take some revision only.

I've emailed you some photos of my daughters & her name.

The temperature will drop again next Monday -- take good care of yourself & the kids! Nicoile was also sick during the holidays & visited the doctors 4 times!!

Miss Yeung, Miss Winnie, Miss Deniz, Miss Law and all the NCA kids made a big card to my family to congrate us on our new baby. The kids drew some simple pictures on it next to thier names. It's so warm. The teachers are so caring. Nicole was very happy when she brought the card home today.

I will treat the kids & the teachers some snacks next week to thank you them.

They are very thoughtful. I'm impressed. Erin told me about the card. She said she drew a face or something in the card.

Hope everything is fine with you & the new born.

Assessment starts tomorrow. I guess singing Nursey Rhymes will be my girl's strength.

She sometimes gets candies or toys from school for rewarding her singing loud.

surprised to see you last Sunday. I met a lot of friends in HarbourCity that day. You were already number 3 that day! haha... and when we went to Toyrus, we met another friend. It's such as good day to go shopping. please check out your email, see if you want to move to gmail too.

Nice to see your mail. My kid is accepted by Stafford and I'm still struggling whether to pick it or the HK Preschool in Shatin. I know that your kid is in Stafford now, how do you find the school?

The teachers are really thoughtful. I feel really thankful to them for the patience to teach Nicole.

For the assessment, I try to have a revision with Nicole last 2 days but she refused to read the books.

Instaed, she asked me to read her own story books.

Anyway, I think she knows 95% of what she learnt at school (as she read her books to me herself many times before). Just don't know if she will zip her month again when the teachers ask her. I better not to force her now.

Oh, I was also at the Kidz'x zone in Harbour City last Sunday afternoon (around 3:00-4:30pm) with my husband & 2 kids wor. But we didn't go to the Toy r'us. It's easy to meet people with kids at Harbour City on holidays.

My mum is not in HK. My husband was back from China & so we went out for a lunch & hang around for while. Yes, I know it's naughty

. But really can't bear to stay at home for a month.

Luckily, I noticed this right before HeiHei set off this morning. Ms Yeung told me that HeiHei refused to sing the songs in front of the class which formed part of the assessment.

Any way, let's take it easy.

Long time no see. I've been busy taking care of the 2 little ones so far. I find taking care of 2 kids is even more busy than going to work. It seems you are feeding the baby, changing the diaper, telling story to the big kid in every hour. No good sleep at all.

However, when you see their similey faces, you will forget all the tiredness.

Although Nicole gets the 優秀獎, she is the 8th in the class. Anyway, it's already out of my expectation that she can get the 優秀獎.

really surprise to see the result! My kid does not aware of what she did in the exams and what that number means to her.. anyways, we just said to her "keep up the good work".
