Sorry, i make a mistake, I should reply kennischow's question instead who is also 34 net.

I think it is better to apply some private/ direct subsidized schools for back up, just in case the result of central allocation is not desiable.

我較喜歡協恩(但是女校),馬頭涌官小(馬頭涌道),陳瑞琪,黃埔宣道,及農圃道官小或垮區的協和小學,暫時還在心大心細唔知在1st round報那一間好,有無意見!!

私校我較喜歡民生,九龍塘學校及九龍塘宣道等!

So happy u are in the same net with me and we can share the opinions.

For ur query, it depends on the marks your daughter got. My daughter gets 15 marks only, and I am struggling about whether to apply Hip Yunn in the 1st round cos I like Maryknoll more but I know that Maryknoll accepts girls with at least 20 marks in the 1st round cos there are so many applicants with 20 marks or above.

To share your concern about girl school, according to the principle of Hip Yunn, there is no gender concern for primary students until they reach P.5 or P.6, and there are many ECA that girls can join nowadays so that they can interact with boys. So it should not be a concern, at least for me, in selecting schools.

For 馬頭涌官小(馬頭涌道),及農圃道官小, 他們的聯繫中學都係伊利沙伯中學,何文田官中,賽馬會官中, 而且真係分到去的%唔高,同埋其他派到的中學都麻麻地, you can go to the school website and check the school annual report 04/05 which posts the details of its 升中派位. (sorry, it is difficult for me to type chinese in my pc so I use chi+eng to express myself)

陳瑞琪:聯繫中學 is a boy-school, consider it.

黃埔宣道:many parents give it good comments, you should consider 垮區 factor, cos you only have 3 choices in the lucky draw. If between Hip Yunn and 黃埔宣道, for myself, I will choose Hip Yunn of course.

協和小學: don't know this school, but I don't like half-day school personally.

我囡囡會有20分(因為基督教,但不是聖公會:cry: )
我都鐘意協恩,因為d小朋友好純及口牌好,但有人話今年轉了校長,故亦改了很多,怕d小朋友要受好大的壓力,影響佢對讀書的興趣......所以都唔知點好

,而Marynoll我d朋友話都幾貴族學校,怕影響小朋友會較物質主義(可能系我多心都未定!!!)不過無論如何兩間都系十分之難入的學校!!!!!!!

我都知未必女校就唔好,但我個囡囡真的好靜及慢熱,所以怕會影響到佢的社交發展......(其實好多朋友都話我知未必,但我又担心唔怕一萬最怕萬一)所以至心大心細.....

--至於這個我真的唔知,只系以為官小會有較好的資源,特別是馬頭涌官小因為佢被政府點為重點學校,同時在區內實在是很有名氣!!!!!!!

陳瑞琪:但佢d老師都幾掂,聽聞都幾嚴,所以d小朋友都好聽話及其學習氣氛都想當唔錯,而女子多數派位都可以派返開平及華英,其實都可以考慮!!.

黃埔宣道:就係d家長話好,仲話入到精英班的小朋友均可以派到band one 的中學,但又有人話如果入唔到精英班的小朋友則會無人理(都唔知係咪????

)我所以考慮因為我同佢有共同宗教入到的機會都幾大!

協和小學:因為佢d小朋友多數會派去銘賢中學,同時d朋友話佢有良好的學習氣氛,同時d老師都好好,而且我個姨甥女在該校都讀得唔錯,所以也是我考慮的範圍.....

你話我系咪心大心細呢!

總知做人父母都唔簡單 !
希望大家的小朋友都可以入到第一志願的小學啦!(如果系咁你話幾好呢!?)

1) 何時寫信拿表
2)是否要做定portfolio
3) 怎知道簡介會時間?

聽你講馬頭涌官小在區內實在是很有名氣，再上兩間官小website睇下，發現自己將D小學資料mix-up 左，更正一下：

"馬頭涌官小(馬頭涌道),及農圃道官小, 他們的聯繫中學都係伊利沙伯中學,何文田官中,賽馬會官中, and there are 25% seats of these 3 govt secondary schools will be reserved for the govt primary schools within the same district, 分到去的%高唔高見仁見智, and no info from 農圃道官小 regarding its 中學派位, for 馬頭涌官小, its school annual report 04/05 said that 55.63% students were alloted to 1st choice secondary school and total 75.63% students were alloted to first 3 choices secondary schools. "

And I found that you already know a lot about your target primary schools woh... so you don't need to 心大心細, try to draw a table and list out all your target schools, write down 5 advantages and 5 disadvantages of each school, and it will be easier for you to make the priority list. This is what my husband asked me to do..... :(

我星期六去左優才拿form,但未決定報唔報...

因優才係直資...收左就要放棄lucky draw...而家重15/16

其實而家開始收生既多數都係直資...哩d叫偷步...

對一定唔會比佢讀禁遠.
不過屯門有一間直資, 都考慮緊, 不過直資收左又唔可以參加抽獎. 好矛盾

Hi Helen,
It depends on whether u really like this school and also want to apply private school / direct subsidies schools for back up woh.., if yes, it is a good chance for you and your child to experience the interview process and know how to improve his/her performance in the interview. If you don't apply, you will definitely loss the chance of being accepted, on the contrary, you get experienced no matter the application is successful or not.

Don't push too much pressure on your child, just tell him/her it is a game and the teachers would like to make friends with him/her and therefore talk to him/her. (sorry, i don't know whether your child is a boy or girl).

小女於2007年入讀小一，想大抽獎協恩，但我知道機會甚微，會考九龍塘宣小作後備。
本人想請問各位有經驗的媽媽：
1. 宣小是否很難入
2. 會喜歡那一類型的小朋友
3. Interview 時會問那些問題
4. 如沒有參加面試班，是否比較不好？
