Very disappointed.  My son scored only 72 to 89.  Must be considered to bottom 5%!

算啦! 第一次測驗. 又不是相差太遠. 下次繼續努力, 不難追上90分以上.

himama, 要 訓 練 小 朋 友 自 己 獨 立 溫 書 我 都 係 常 試 當 中 , 這 個 過 程 不 易 尤 其 太 細 及 自 律 性 比 較 低 的 小 朋 友 耐 性 真 的 要 更 多 .因 為 女 兒 小 三 及 都 算 定 的 小 朋 友 所 以 都 希 望 慢 慢 的 培 養 獨 立 溫 書 習 慣 ,她 溫 完 我 都 會 抽 問 下 她 結 果 都 有 些 她 溫 得 不 仔 細 ,所 以 都 要 慢 慢 來 但 過 程 都 好 滿 意 .
tlab, 不 好 太 失 望 ,此 終 是 第 一 次 TEST, 成 績 正 好 反 映 小 孩 對 科 目 了 解 有 多 少 . 起 碼 妳 知 他 明 和 不 明 的 地 方 從 而 在 那 處 努 力 及 下 苦 功 .份 卷 深 淺 都 會 有 不 同 的 結 果 . 千 其 不 好 被 分 數 影 響 母 子 的 關 係 , 多 想 想 有 甚 麼 比 分 數 更 重 要 .....

cy, many thanks for your advice.  I think it is very difficult for my son to study by himself but I have to try anyway.  Is your daughter’s test result ok?

Thanks for your encourgement.  My son is also not happy with the results.  As you suggested, we will learn from failure and aim for better results next time!

My son was very excited before the Sports Day and told me that he will be the 1st winner for the 60m running race.  After the Sports Day, he told me that he didn't get any medals as "he didn't try his best".  I am quite unhappy with this - not the result - is "he didn't try his best within his ability".

If your son really feel that "he didn't try his best within his ability", then probably he know he can do better then this next time.  It seems important to know what is "missing" this time.

我囡囡參加了60米, 跑第一(最後數上), 無法啦! 她一向體育最弱, 又沒有事先練習, 只是她說若不參加比賽, 怕全日會悶, 另她當日做校園小記者, 到處訪問學生和家長. 你們有沒有接受過訪問呢?

Himama,我 個 女 成 日 都 話 自 己 拿 金 牌 個 個 ,佢 話 發 夢 都 夢 到   .咪 同 個  仔 講 下 次 看 看 你 盡 力 時 有 冇 獎 ,媽 咪 都 好 想 你 拿 個 返 來 .話 時 話 KY小 朋 友 運 動 都 好 強 .

My son promised me that he will do his best next year.  I have take this opportunity to teach him to try his best in doing everything and hope he understand what I mean.  Thanks tlab, cy.
