My son is the same case with you.  He told me he
had answered all questions in English & Chinese. Sang the song in loud voice and soft voice. All his
schoolmates (about 4 years, boys & girls) are rejected.  Anyway, we will try again next year.

I have a daughter (6-year-old) and a son (4-year-old).  My daughter will turn 7 and my son will turn 5 at the end of this month.  They were both admitted to the choir.
The following were what they did in the audition.
(1) You need to learn a new a new song, listen to a piece of  music.
(2) Clapping hands following to the time signature or the rhythm of the music.
(3) Certainly, you need to sing!  Somebody will come near you and see whether you can sing well and how much you have picked up in that short period of time.
I hope the above might help those would like to attend the audition in the future.

I let my "sweeties" join the choir because they like to sing.  They can enjoy music in the choir with other children and at the same time learn the importance of team work.

Can any mother share what is the interivew like for the IEC program?  Mother will accompany the kid, does the kid need to answer questions or sing a song?  My daughter is 2.5 yrs, a bit shy, but she sings well and many songs at home, not in front of stangers or new place, please share your experience.

Is your daughter only 2.5 year old? But as I know, the HK Children's Choir only accepts children at least 4 years old. That means children should be at their 4 in the coming July. You can see the criterias at the application form.

yes, my daughter is only 2.5 yrs old, I applied the IEC program for her (Intelligence, Emotion, Creativity) which is for 2.5 to 3.5 yrs kids, I think its like a playgroup at HK Children's Choir that the parents accompany the kids for the lessons.  And for the interivew arranged next Sat, I can also accompany my daughter for the interview, so I want to know what will be like for the interivew eg question/answer or song singing.  If anyone knows, please share.  thanks again

Does anyone know about the interview for IEC program? my girl is 2.5 yrs old and will have an interivew next week.
Please share your experience like how long did it last for, was it question and answer or song singing?

any comment about IEC(優質潛能啟發課程) for 2.1/2 year to 3.1/2 year, is it good , any big difference between playgroup and IEC?

We applied for the July start in Feb, and to be interviewed in Apr this week during Easter holidays, so if you have missed it, you will have to wait for the next application date and also the next intake to start.

My son is 4.5 years old and he applies choir only.  The interview was done on 15 April.  My son told me that the teacher requested all children to sing one chinese song and one english song and requested the children to "打拍子".  After the interview, my son got two stamp chops on his label (that means he can sing two song) and the teacher told him that he got "Marks"  (i.e 你有分).  Does it mean he would be choose by 香兒?
